The owner was present during handover, but the issue only became visible the next morning in daylight. When I raised it, the workshop attributed it to "Dashboard deterioration" Instead of taking full responsibility.
I appreciate their technical expertise and responsiveness, but I expected better care during installation and accountability for workmanship-related damage. Customers with older vehicles should be cautious and document dashboard condition before sending their cars in.

Before starting the installation, our team conducted a standard pre-inspection of the dashboard area and documented its existing condition with photos. These records showed visible signs of material deterioration consistent with the vehicle's age. As explained during the process, such aging can cause the dashboard surface to become brittle, and even with careful handling, minor cracks or flaking may occur during dismantling.
We understand your frustration; however, as the damages were due to pre-existing wear and material condition, we regret that we are unable to cover the cost of a full dashboard rewrap. Our team had shown you the pre-installation photos and explained this prior to starting the work to ensure full transparency.
