The car I rented was not only beautiful but also in pristine condition. It was evident that Tay Automobiles takes great care of their vehicles, ensuring that customers receive top-notch quality. Driving around town in one of their cars was an absolute delight, and I received numerous compliments along the way.

Rented a car from Tay Automobiles to use for my wedding. Had a very fuss-free experience for the entire process (pick-up and drop-off) as everything was explained clearly and informed before hand. Advice was also given on how to deal with certain scenarios when handling the car! Rented a car for 1 month plus and the whole process from collecting to dropping off the car was a breeze. As a female driver, I was skeptical to rent a car as my sister has a bad experience with other companies. I texted Bensley at night to enquire for an available car but was told that my preferred choice is not available for the first 2 weeks. He suggested to take a substitute car first and exchange it to my preferred car in 2 weeks time. Upon collection, YJ brought me to the car and showed all the scratches and dents to take note off and take pic of it.I appreciate the transparency and felt assured. During my rental, I would text Bensley on any enquiries or issues that I have with the car and he would assist at anytime. When it was time to return the car, I just had to drop off the car key to YJ. When i realise that i left my passion card in the IU unit, YJ was kind enough to retrieve it back and send it at my brother’s shop. Overall i would highly recommend this rental. Incredible fuss-free experience! No bullshit and extremely flexible on the pickup/dropoff timing. Rented monthly for nearly half a year, stopped only because the vehicle type I wanted was not available. Their cars are mainly COE old ones but still fully functional and pretty reliable. Rented from them a few times(eg; toyota wish, honda stream) for Malaysia use.. not forgetting that the price is also Affordable too.. Staffs were friendly,nice and helpful... all cars that i rent its in working condition, patrol was more than half tank everytime.. Warning: A Disheartening Experience with Tay Automobiles

I typically refrain from sharing negative reviews online, but my recent interaction with Tay Automobiles was so disappointing that I feel compelled to caution others about the potential pitfalls of leasing with this company. It ranks as the most regrettable business experience I have ever encountered.

The company primarily uses WhatsApp for communication, which, while not ideal, could be acceptable if they were courteous. Unfortunately, this is far from the reality. The consistently rude and unhelpful tone creates an unfavourable customer experience, a sentiment echoed in other reviews.

To secure a booking, they insisted on a substantial $500 deposit, a price I reluctantly paid via bank transfer. Surprisingly, they failed to provide a formal invoice or receipt for the deposit, an unusual practice for any reputable company. Despite my follow-up attempts, there has been no response, leaving me questioning how they are able to operate without supplying such a basic document and whether they are fulfilling their obligations regarding declaring these payments and obligatory government fees.

After making the payment, I was informed about the excess insurance terms, disclosing that I would face a higher excess due to my years of driving experience in Singapore. This crucial information arrived 24 hours after booking. It's astonishing that such basic information wasn't provided before I transferred the deposit. Given my plans to enter Malaysia and the substantial increase in excess, I requested to cancel the booking and receive a refund. Although I was outside the 24-hour window, I was deeply apologetic, and it still left one week for the company to rent out the car and take alternative bookings. In response, there was a constant abrupt manner and they directed me to pursue legal action and refused any further communication, highlighting the company's reluctance to address customer concerns. This approach, coupled with a basic disregard for customer satisfaction, was shocking and almost invited negative reviews and legal action.

Despite my continued efforts to contact Tay Automobiles through various channels, including email ([email protected]) and telephone, they remain unresponsive. My experience, coupled with other negative reviews, suggests they are prepared to handle such situations, so if you are reading this, I strongly suggest using a different company.

While losing my deposit was disheartening, especially given my current financial circumstances, I find solace in not proceeding further with my booking and avoiding additional dealings with this unprofessional company. I sincerely hope others take heed of this cautionary tale and think twice before engaging with Tay Automobiles.

I got to know this car rental company after doing searches on SgCarmart. Dropped an inquiry and got an almost immediate response from Bensley. He was quick to response and immediately confirmed my booking and paid a booking fee (part of the car rental cost). Upon collection, balance rental payment was made and car deposit too.

I rented a beautiful BMW 525i over the Fri-Mon weekend and my family and I love this car. (Some pictures below to share).

A few other personal touches about Bensley is that shortly after leaving the carpark, received some basic instructions on how to handle a car, turns, breaks etc. And to always remain calm and do not allow other drivers to determine how you drive. Since I was a P-Plate these basic advise was a great reminder.

I have recently also returned to rent another car last weekend and this time for a drive in into JB.

Overall experienced was amazing I would rate 5/5 stars.

Rented a car w/ Tay Automobiles, they are swift in response and very professional. During handover to us, they informed on the condition of the car, which was very reassuring to me as my previous rental car experience from other companies was not very good. Bensley (my POC) told me to ask whatever qns i have and also to test the car first. I had a last minute change to another car as the one i wanted had some problems. This shows the honesty! We rented the car for 3 days with NO issues at all until handover back. I am SUPER impressed with Tay Automobiles and i would highly recommend them to my family/friends. The whole rental process and customer service from the staff of Tay Automobiles is really commendable. I rented the Honda Accord over the Deepavali weekend. Bensley guided me through the whole rental procedure and even provided tips on how to handle the car. Deposit was also immediately refunded within the same day of returning the car. I read lots of good reviews about their service so I was relieved to see that the recommendations were valid! Bensley patiently answered all my inquiries and did his best to meet the rental period and car type needs that I had. While the car I rented (a delightfully bright electric blue Suzuki Swift) has seen better days, it was still perfectly fine for driving and I experienced no difficulties with it.
