Been driving the 2024 Volkswagen ID.5 for about 3 months now and I dare say it is a fantastic all-around electric SUV that seamlessly blends style, practicality, and performance. Here's what I like and dislike about the ID.5.
Chio Design: The ID.5's coupe-like silhouette is a head-turner given it's a sportier look. It is a good looking car, period. Sometimes I just stand outside and admire it's curves. Although it could do with abit more storage, the interior is comfortable and spacious.
Solid Range and Performance: With a range of around 420km (80% charge), the ID.5 offers more than enough juice for daily commutes and weekend adventures. Being first off the traffing light is always a good idea in traffic light city. The acceleration is smooth and responsive, making for an enjoyable driving experience.
VW's infotainment system is simple and straightforward. I do hope there's an update to improve on the UI/UX. And please have in built Car Play and Android Auto. It's 2024.
Personally I feel the ID.5 offers a compelling value proposition in the competitive electric SUV market. If you want to be a common leaf then don't get the ID.5. BUT if you want an EV that's uncommon and I dare say rare, the 2024 VW ID.5 is a fantastic electric SUV that excels in all the right areas. Whether you're looking for a stylish and practical family car or a tech-forward and eco-friendly commuter, the ID.5 is definitely worth considering.... Read More
