Driving the Sienta for 3 years now. No problems whatsoever, still going strong. I have to say no regrets & no intention to change to another car, as this car is so value for money. Suits my requirement (cost/tax/insurance/FC/7seater) very well at the price that I want to pay for an MPV. Space is less compared to the bigger MPVs, but this also makes the Sienta light, nimble, easy to drive, u-turn and park.
What I like
low cost/tax/insurance
Good FC
7seater with real adult high seats at the 3rd row, not your typical almost to the floor kiddy seats.
Nimble, easy to drive and park
What I do not like
Limited boot space with all seats up
Limited interior length

Took delivery of my Sienta X Limited almost 3 weeks ago. So far, it's been a great car and very suitable for our family of five. We manage to put in our two car seats quite comfortably: one in the 3rd row and one in the 2nd row. The 3rd row has a gap between the two seats and my two older kids (6 & 3yrs old) simply enjoy getting in and out of the car through the back door. This means we don't even have to slide the 2nd row for them to get in.
What I like
- Sits 7 adults fairly comfortably
- Good fuel consumption
- Easier to park due to shorter length
- Low Road Tax
- Gap in third row allows kids to board from back

Bought the car in March 08 for X Limited model. Very happy with the car as it is made in Japan and i felt that it is better than Toyota Wish although smaller engine capacity.
The car is normal from outside but a beauty on the inside.
PS: Put bodykit and it will be a beauty! Too bad the wheel is 4 nuts and max size at 17 inch rims
High roof and adjustable seat makes the car felt huge when you are inside.
Enjoyable car for cruising along with good FC averaging at 12 - 13km per liter.
What I like
- Spacious rooms even for third row seat.
- Huge windows.
- Retractable side mirror with directional - Light
- VVTI engine
What I do not like
- No aircon holes for back
- No sun roof
- Should be dual sliding doors
- Body rollover when cornering
- Engine noise bit loud when revving approx 3,000 rpm onward at 0-40km/hr.

My 1st short term car purchase & drove it till end of COE. Always wanted to try out this cutesy MPV & didn't disappoint me indeed :)
What I like
1. Price! Bought it for 4.8k drove for 4mths & sold it off to exporter for 2k!
2. Punchy engine for car this size, somehow got that extra booster when accelerating from standstill
3. SPACE! Looks small on the outside, but it's well designed on the inside. Even though it's the 1st gen model, it still looks better than the current facelifts
4. Longest trip i drove this car to Ipoh & back in 1 piece! My wife's fren also borrowed this car to drive to Muar & back. Proud of this 14.5y/o car
5. Easy & cheap maintenance, spend almost 1k on wear & tear for the safety of my family
6. Spacious driver seat area, don't feel so cramped up like some SUVs wannabe. No centre console can even kiat-ka while driving if you want
What I do not like
1. Car sort of died on me in the middle of CTE!! Damn scary experience but not the car's fault. My mechanic didn't put in the right spark plug for the car when i brought it for servicing. Once the issue rectified, no problems at all till end COE!
2. Other than the above issue, this car 1 of my fav short term cars i owned :)
