Review
After owning a CRV for 4 years swapping to the Subaru Forester 2.5 XT was like a breath of fresh air! It does not have all the widgets and comforts that Honda provides, it is a lot thirstier and it also demands a higher grade fuel [so more $$$$] but yet the thrills and driving pleasure that the Subaru provides is definitely a more rewarding experience!
What I like
- The (deceiving) huge power on tap
- The manual drive option
- The AWD handling is brilliant
- The huge sunroof (that is pretty useless in Singapore though!)
- The mean looks (once installing all the body skirts and new grill)
What I do not like
- Lack of Auto air conditioner
- Not as much room in the back as my old CRV
- The fact that my wife gets to drive the car more than I do :-(

Review
Test drive the car in March and within 7 days made the decision to place a booking just a day before the COE shot up sky high. It is a complete diff feel from a Korea car that i drove for 5 years and a GM MPV that i drove in China. Comfortable and the build quality is good. Somehow the 1st 2 tank of petrol i got about 8 km/litre but some how my 3rd tank is getting about 9.8 l/100km. any ideas?
The engine is very responsive although the car weighs 1.5 ton. amazingly the ride is quite quiet.
What I like
The exterior is good looking
Interior materials quality was acceptable
Engine was powerful
Good headrooms
Ride is smooth
Price was just ride in the SUV category
What I do not like
Features was very limited, eg. lack of auto control air con, push start, powered seat.
The side mirrors had a white stain on the bracket?

Review
Outstanding as compare to old model. More spacious, quieter, comfortable, more head and legroom and also larger cabin.
As for the power, it seems a bid lag during acceleration. Maybe due to its weight of nearly 1.5 tonne, over 200kg heavier than its competitors.
Safety features are great, amazing 6 airbags for a below 80k ride. What can I ask for more.
What I like
Height, Spacious cabin, great interior design, AWD, Safety features.
What I do not like
Front grill.

Test drove this new generation's turbo version and compared to the last few generations' turbo version which i had test driven too, this new model is too big and with that loses out in spirit compared to the slightly smaller older models.
What I like
Not much compared to the previous generations of the forester turbo versions.
What I do not like
1. Design - not as butch-muscular as the smaller previous generation, even with after-market bodykits. and WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FRAMELESS WINDOWS?
2. Size - weight, FC, acceleration, ride height
