Review
Currently owning a Honda CRV 2.4. Among all the Honda cars I have droved. This is one of the best. But so is the price... It is more costly than most cars. Comfort, luxury, engine power... It has it. But the offside is that the petrol consumption is very high too. But what do you expect from a 2400cc car? It gives you lots of stability on the road and as this car is not small in size, it does not allow other cars to bully u on the road.

My dad recently bought the 2.0 version.Not much features as compared to the 2.4 version.The 2.4 has sunroof,gps,push start button,touchscreen,bluetooth,paddle shifters that the 2.0 does not have.This 4th gen CRV is the most goodlooking car than the older gens.Its top competitor is the Mazda CX-5 which not bad too.The CRV is worth every cent as it is very reliable.Overall it is a good car for family!

Less features on the 2.0 version

The CR-V was redesigned for 2012, with style and feature changes to keep Honda's top-selling crossover competitive.

You have a choice in powering CR-V - a 2.0 or 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that's mated to a five-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.

What I like
Honda CR-V's list of merits is long. Its interior is intelligently thought out and boasts high-quality materials. Its ride is more comfortable and quieter than before, and handling and steering remain high points.

What I do not like
Its major shortcoming concerns passing power in a few circumstances. Generally the CR-V's acceleration is peppy enough to zip around town, but you may find it to be sluggish during merging and passing maneuvers on slopes. Still, as long as your drive doesn't include many steep roads or overly heavy loads, the Honda CR-V provides all the room, refinement and performance you will ever need.

Review
The Honda CR-V needs no introduction. I personally owned one in 1997 and I would recommend it again just based on its establish product reliability.

Equipment-wise, I can only best described the new CR-V 2.0L as modest. You will still find a good old key (now a more pocket friendly jack knife design) to start the car, and an easy to use audio system to keep you entertained while you are on the smooth.

The most visible feature on the inside is the 5" LCD screen Honda call i-Mid. It does nothing very much except to display the radio info, clock and air-con settings.

However, from the brochure the Eco Assist system sounds promising.

During the test drive, the SOHC i-VTEC engine is no screamer but coupled to Honda's good old 5-speed automatic gearbox, it gets the job done adequately and the gear changes is surprising smooth and quick.

The Eco Assist should not be overlooked. A pair of guide bars turn green the moment I ease off the throttle and drive smoothly. Many cars claim good fuel economy on paper and blames your driving style when you cannot achieve the good fuel economy they claimed on their car. I think this system would be very useful if it is proven to deliver its goods.

What I like
I would recommend the car for its spaciousness and its fuss free driving performance.

What I do not like
I do not like the bland styling and lack of new Honda technology.

Review
Tested the 2.4L CRV 2012 about 2 weeks ago, its as per the sales person saying, once you sit in a Honda, you cannot see the front bonnet as its design to be aero dynamic. True enough !

In it, this is the high end model that comes with all gadgets like sunroof, keyless, reverse camera, electric seats that the base model does not have.

Can't remember if there is both front electric seats.

Boot space is also adequate.

This is probably the only Asian car that comes with BOTH auto headlights and auto rain sensors, unlike others where not sure why it always comes with either one.

The dash uses a kind of material lets you feel like having carbon fibre in it and equip with touch screen and reverse camera. Nice.

The drive was quite good as i-VTEC is known for its excellent pickup but kinda noisy.

There is an Econ button which the dash or speedo changes light, informing you that its assisting to save fuel along the line. A feature good to have.

The gear change was smooth but had a slight jerk when switch from 2nd to 3rd. Otherwise is still acceptable.

Overtaking is great as Honda lives to his name like its other close Jap competitor.

Overall its a good car to consider in terms of SUV if you find contis too ex to get or maintain.
