Review
I work in a shipping company and i realised that this car is the most shipped out car so far. Driven/tested drive it for hundreds of times from hundreds of different cars of the same model as my vessel load hundreds of it each week and surprisingly the performance is outstanding! Easy to manouvre and is stylish.Even petrol consumption is not a worry. If you are working in the terminal, you would believe what i say cause u will see that the yard will be full of these models. And these cars is first hand and brought into Singapore to be transhipped to other countries. Therefore i would say that this model is in market demand for months and it shows that drivers around the world trusted this model.

What I like
The engine bay is easy to understand at first glance. And the sleek design of the body and headlight makes it look more "fierce". Having a quiet engine, easy to park even in tight space as i myself witnessed and tried parking it in my vessels with no hassle. From front it may look like a Peugeot or perhaps a Masserati. Headlight / foglight is well bright. Even with a very little petrol left with the petrol warning light is on, you can still drive it for quite a distance. Handling is superb. Controls at within reach and looks like a pilot cockpit.

What I do not like
Due to its hatchback design, items stored in the boot area may fill the entire car much quicker. The wheels that comes from the factory is rather small in size but not an issue as you can change to a bigger rim size of your choice. The rim is not a sport looking rim. The body is too plain as it has no side skirting and so on. Need to lower the spring a bit more to look even more sporty. Steering wheel almost matched Honda cars.

Rented a brand new Hyundai i30 for a course of 4 days in Perth, W.A. I'm lucky to get a brand new rental car that's not even launched in Singapore yet. Well since the Elantra is well received here, I'll just see how good the hatch sibling is. First impressions..If you're looking for some warm hatch drive that stirs the soul..look elsewhere. This is a car best left in full auto mode, relaxed urban driving. With interior build quality and design that almost matches some conti premium hatch, its hard to fault the new i30.

What I like
- Solid build quality
- Sleek new design
- Acceptable fuel consumption
- Generous boot size for a hatch
- Futuristic looking dashboard with usb connectivity

What I do not like
- Lifeless steering which is too light
- Slugglish accleration despite having 128bhp on tap
- Slow witted 6 speed autobox manual override function
- Below par handling
