Teat drove this beast a few months back. The sheer power of the car will bring a big smile to any petrol head lover.

The exterior styling is one of the best and easily recognizable as the F-type,
bringing out the fierce character of the car.

The best part of the car is the interior style, it is so driver orientated and comfortable. Jaguar have also added tech that are easy to use and best of all, there are paddle shifter for auto gear box, which is a plus point for me.

Being a soft top convertible, it greatly compliment the driving pleasure esp in Singapore weather.
You take the top down and drive it with the great exhaust note! pretty intense.

The FC is average but when you start trashing it around, it might hurt your wallet but I think anyone who drive you will be happy regardless of the FC.

Exterior
The first sight of the Porsche Boxster made many impressions on me. The pictures found on magazines’ definitely didn’t do justice to the Boxster. For starters, it is with no doubt a much more stunning convertible as compared to the previous generation Boxster, which looked a little feminine, thus attaining much criticism from the public. This however, looks much more like a premium convertible with muscular lines making it more like a driver’s car.
Interior
And of cause, the interior is just as important as the exterior. Fortunately, the Boxster does both extremely well. Step into the cabin and you are greeted by a simple but elegant interior. Move your hands over to the dashboard, steering wheel and the seats and it then becomes obvious that premium leather was used in the construction of the interior. The soundtrack is not bad, however, who cares when it has such a riotous engine making a raspy, crispy note from the exhausts? Forget the radio and soundtrack, there’s a better one at the back of your car!
Drive
The drive? It was EPIC. Inheriting Porsche DNA, it has out of the world handling and an adrenaline pumping drive without having too much power. Never fear to push the Boxster to its limits and braking too late as it tackles this issue with incredible balance, which is, simply physics defying. From the first push into 1st gear (manual gearbox used here), the Boxster accelerates effortlessly, making it an unforgettable experience. It accelerates from 0-100 in a mere 5 seconds, which in my opinion is enough on Singapore roads which speed limits hardly reach 100 KM/H. As it is a mid engine car, the balance was marvelous, making me reminisce of the Toyota GT 86 with it’s sublime handling, another car worthy of a COTY award. One thing which really added on to the pleasure of the drive was definitely the sports exhausts which are definitely a must tick option. Shifting from 1st into 2nd, the exhausts made a popping sound like a popcorn machine, just that this is even louder and oh, so addictive.
The Verdict
The Boxster is indeed a winner in the segment of the sport convertibles. It too should also never be called the “poor man’s Porsche” as it has in my opinion become such an epic car that as a result become dangerously close to beating the 911. ☺

What I like
1. That soul and energy of the car which makes you want to push it harder.
2. Mid Engined layout, making it properly well balanced.
3. Superb build quality
4. That addictive exhaust note.
5. It being a proper everyday sports car catering to every occasion special or not.

What I do not like
Nothing much except small niggles which is not worth complaining about.

Is the current F Type V8S worth every acolade that is bestowed on this car in recent car awards and reviews by major car magazines?

Exterior
The car design lines are clean and smooth while the features are sharp. It's not over the top extravagant or the minimalist design you see in some of the high-end sports cars these days. It's a deliberate balanced design from head to tail. The twin J LED headlamps are not the usual fare found in the other high-end sports cars. So its uniqueness shines through. The carbon fibre 20 inch wheels are eye candies for any discerning driver on the road although I would dread the cost of replacement if it's ever curbed or damaged. According to celebrated chief designer of Jaguar, Ian Callum, the back is the highlight of the car's exterior. And I agree with him totally. The stance from the back is aggressive together with the quad exhausts. The design of the tail lights look a million bucks. The boot is functional and big enough even for a full size golf bag!

Interior
When you get into the driver's side of the car, you are immediately greeted with a simple and functional layout which is driver focussed. Not the jarring switches you would expect in other high-end sports cars. Although it seats lower than other current Jag models, the driver's visibility is superb. The achassis is solid given its aluminium body, suspension is firm but still offers a pliant and comfortable ride. The stick is a welcome change to the gear knob selector currently in other Jag models. The Meridian sound system may not be the best in its class but that's not my priority in the F Type.

Drive and soundtrack
What can I say? Equipped with the active exhaust, I am able to switch from soft to loud exhaust notes faster than a blink of an eye. The soundtrack in the V8S is to die for. It's raspy and raw. The drive is pliant and surefooted although I would advise patience and care in throttle application. The turn ins are precise. Real world 0-100km/h in less than 4.2 seconds! Now that's even faster than some of the more established high-end sports cars on the roads today.

Value and pricetag
Absolutely and it's got great value compared to the other high-end sports car brands. So is it worth the wait? Most definitely.

What I like
Everything about it is properly conceived. Nothing is out of place. The F Type does not tire you out like some of the other high-end sports cars. You can see there's a lot of thought that went into the design and the make of the F Type to offer the driver a very very satisfied drive.

This car is just out of the world!

What I do not like
The Meridian sound system may not be the best-in-class but who cares. With the soft top down, the only music I want to hear is the engine revs and the exhaust notes.

Review
I have driven this car in the Jaguar LIVE Experience 2013. Given me the experienced of driving the Jaguar F-Type V6 , V6S and V8S. The Jaguar F-Type is the first two-seater sports car Jaguar has built since the iconic E-Type. A beautiful two-seater open top. All the 3 cars have the same eight-speed transmission with paddle shifters and a fully-locking torque converter on all forward gears.

The F-Type sets new level of brilliance for front-engined roadsters. And it pushes Jaguar even closer to the German benchmarks.

What I like
The Jaguar F-Type is simply stunning. No matter what colour or angle you see from. The active sports exhaust as it opens up the baffles , it brings a symphony-orchestra sound of the F-Type. The sound is very different from other car models.

The interior is a work of art. It gave me the sense of feel that I am inside a first class cabin. It has features such as an eight-inch colour touchscreen with sat nav, Bluetooth audio streaming , high quality 10-speaker Meridien sound system , climate air conditioning and keyless start.

What I do not like
There is a shortage of cabin space for simple things like phones , wallets etc.
