Owned the 2018 Honda Fit Hybrid (base spec) for 14 months. This car, with it's sporty styling as compared to the previous generation of Fit GE, won me over with it's handsome looks and practicality. It's refined in EV mode, accelerates quickly due to the 7 speed DCT. However, when switching over from EV to petrol mode (forced charge due to low battery, or hard acceleration), the noise is apparent, rough and unbearable. Other than that, the endless opportunities for mod and accessories available is a joy to behold!

What I like
- Lots of mod opportunities and plenty of accessories available locally and over at taobao such as bodykit, spoiler, CF bonnet and the list goes on

- Excellent real world FC of 23km/l - 28km/l depending on the right foot

- Small fuel tank of 32L for base spec that can clock up to 850km

- Excellent front view from the driver's seat

- Spacious interior that put many other bigger cars to shame

- Excellent reliability and low maintenance cost if properly taken care of

What I do not like
- Base spec is really spartan (Push fold side mirror, no interior top handles, no magic seat aka 60/40 split fold, no armrest, no rear wiper, retro yellow side fender indicators instead of side mirror indicators. no driver seat height adjustment)

- Roughness and loud noise when switching from EV mode to petrol mode

- Stock halogen headlight setup

- Hybrid battery hot air escapes through the small vent located next to the passenger seat behind the driver seat.

- Small boot space (1 child booster seat and 1 folded stroller and we're done)

- No factory steering audio controls and cruise control

With the new generation released, dealers might be offering tempting prices and deals to clear stock.

I had this car for just over a year, and comparing it with the other hatchbacks I owned previously, it is below average. The biggest drawback is the poor noise insulation. While noise insulation is not ideal in this class, the Fit has such bad insulation that any road surface besides the newly laid ones will give you a headache or drained you mentally at the very least after a long drive. This is also not helped that the rear suspension is stiff, giving rear riders a rough ride. On hot days, it is made even worse by the poor heat insulation as the car heats up fast. Turning up the air-con barely helps lower the temperature, instead only adding more noise in the cabin with the higher fan speed.

I averaged about 24km/litre in this hybrid engine, a decent figure. However, precise weight on the foot pedal is required to maintain at electric mode; Pedal is sensitive and the slightest force will switch it back to petrol. This can be quite tiring on your legs. I was also not impressed with the jerky hybrid system when switching between electric and petrol modes. I have driven Toyota hybrids and the transition is almost undetectable.

In my opinion, the Fit Hybrid has a nice concept, but executed poorly. There are things that I like: clear view out, good ride height, suitable for seniors to get in and out. I am most impressed with the rear seat and boot space. I would recommend getting the 1.5F version if you definitely have to get this car, as it has the magic seats, which I feel is the only main selling point. I got the 1.5(A), a stripped down version with no magic seats. It was a bad decision because with all the flaws mentioned, some practicality could have helped balance the playing field.

In summary, if you are looking for a mini hatch with good fuel economy and practicality, the Fit Hybrid is definitely the car for you, but I'm referring to the new generation. I heard it is a big improvement. The small amount you save is not worth the comfort you will lose out in this car. However, if bootspace is not the main priority, there are many similar priced cars on the market, and I would highly suggest you to give those cars a try instead.

What I like
- Great clear view out from driving seat. Minimal blind spot.
- Ample leg and head room for rear passenger, best in class.
- Big practical boot space for its class
- 1.5F version has magic seats which is a must.
- Good fuel economy.
- Nice exterior design, better than current model in my opinion.
- Easy to source for accessories.
- Ample storage space for small items.

What I do not like
- Terrible noise insulation especially from the wheels. Main reason why I sold the car after 1 year
- Stiff rear suspension. Uncomfortable for rear passengers
- Unrefined hybrid system
- Poor heat insulation. Gets hot very fast
- No magic seats for 1.5(A) version
- Seat height not adjustable. For a tall person like me, sat too high.
- No rear wipers
- Lack of safety system and only 3 airbags.

I driven the car for about 1 week now. This car is indeed friendly on the wallet with its low running cost. On mineral oil, i am obtaining 23km/l on 60% City driving. Anyone out there finding a normal small car for single/small family should consider the Fit Hybrid. Previously a sports bike rider, i am impress with the handling and suspension of the car. It is firm enough yet no too hard for the drive, well done Honda in this detail.

Improvement can be made for the switch over from EV to Engine as the startup do produce a obvious noise( but understandable as the car need to start the ICE).

What I like
Small car yet very good interior space. From leg room and cargo space

Small engine yet good pick up and iDCD provide a seamless gear change.

Hybrid engine gives a low running cost for owning the car.

What I do not like
1. No Rear Wiper. Could be a potential hazard especially rainy weather
2. No DRL. Could have create a better outlook for the car.
3. No Auto mirror. Useful for Singapore carpark to retract the mirror.
4. No Magic Seat. Sadly this is a good to have feature to provide cargo flexibility.

Overall, a great car to purchase.

Have been driving my Fit Hybrid for the last 3 weeks. Like the previous reviews the engine is lively for 1100kg car and my Fit also came pretty spartan. I have been getting about 22km/l on mainly highway driving and it is no where near the 32 km/l spec. What I do not like is the quality of the petrol engine and the way the petrol engine takes over on non hybrid drive. Firstly it is a noisy and unrefined petrol engine. I am surprised as I previously owned a JDM accord and the engine was pretty quiet and smooth. Secondly the way the petrol engine cuts in from the electric motor at Low gearing is also noisy and a bit too rough for my liking. At times you can even hear the metallic clicking during Low gear changes. The suspension is also pretty hard and there is too much body rattling while over slight uneven ground. I wonder if anyone has the same experience

What I like
EV motor is very quiet and car is on electric while stationary

What I do not like
Very unrefined petrol engine
Noisy
Pure electric drive is only about 10-15 percent of the entire journey
Very spartan interior
Wind noise above 80 kmph

A few months back, I bought the Audi SQ5 as my Family Car. Few Months into ownership, felt the need for a second family car as I drive the SQ5 to work leaving the entire family without a car when I am at work. Hence, was looking for an affordable, easy to drive and easy to maintain car. I looked no further and went down to PI for a test drive. Booked a unit subsequently. Here are the Reasons why...

What I like
As the title of my review suggests, this car is really fast. I have always had a bad impression of Hybrid vehicles as I have driven a really underpowered Hybrid Toyota in Malaysia before. I was shocked during the test drive. I had no problems accelerating off the line first from standstill at the traffic junction. Honda has done a really good job in crafting such a masterpiece engine.
Apart from the engine performance, the car has many other great features
1. This car may look like it is really small on the outside. However, the interior space is definitely much bigger than what many of you would expect. The interior space is bigger than some compact sedans available in the market for the same price range.
2. This car is a hybrid so the visits to the petrol kiosks would be reduced. This vehicle is claimed to do 37.4km/l which has been proven my Malaysian Youtubers. Most hybrids clock a mileage of 27.8km/l at best. So, the Fit hybrid is currently the leader of the Market.
3.The car is fitted with privacy glass all around the passengers. This gives the car a Spaceship feel

What I do not like
As I bought the Basic Model, The only thing I do not like is, the Features could be better improved.
The Fit hybrid does not come with:
1. Steering Switches
2. Rear Wiper
3. Height Adjustment to driver Seat
4. Auto Headlights
If you feel the above is redundant go for the base model. However, if you are fond of these features in your car and have 5000 bucks extra to spare, go for the F package.

This is one fast super mini. The interior space for passengers is huge for a super mini. The leg room and shoulder room triumphs even the small sedans such as the Mazda 3.

This car takes just 8.5s from 0-100km/h. You will be the first off the line even with light throttle. The additional torque from the electrical motor make light work of pulling off from standstill.

I have averaged 21km/l in my first week of driving. And I launch the car fast and 100% City driving.

What I like
Fast acceleration. On par with 1.6T car such as Levorg on acceleration.

Spacious interior for a small car. I am 185cm tall and I can fit comfortably in the seat behind the driver when the driver seat is in my driving position. This speak volume of the interior space Honda has managed to design into this small car.

Honda's hybrid technology with 7 real gears and dry clutch.

Hybrid technology that allows you to sit in the car park or red light without engine operating and still enjoy cool air conditioning.

Fuel economical.. If I were to drive more leisurely. getting 30km/l after run in looks like a real possibility.

What I do not like
The base model hybrid has many items stripped out:

1) handle above windows
2) Front cabin lights
3) Rear wiper
4) Steering wheel mounted controls
5) Cruise control
6) Driver seat height adjustment (not too bad as I am 185cmt all and still can get into a comfortable position).
7) no magic seat, no 40/60 split fold.. one single fold only

But.. you do get these as standard which many cars in the same price range don't:
1) keyless entry (remote fob)
2) keyless engine start (stop start button)
3) rear privacy glass for rear and back windows
4) auto climate control airconditioning
5) retractable side wing mirrors (button operated)
6) motorized headlight leveling
7) Auto lock (can be disabled)
8) Tilt and telescopic adjustment for steering rack

One of the nicer car after facelift. Too bad does not come with fog lights. Overall very good for a small family.

What I like
New design with almost the same interior, nostalgic feeling of a fit / jazz
