I've had my doubts driving a 1.2 liter engine especially for a relatively heavier body crossover SUV. Even with 3 other adults in the car during the test drive, the drive outperformed my expectations. Overtaking is quite a breeze and the turbo engine is definitely punchy with no lag. The test drive version, as with the current version of the 2020 model comes with a 130 bhp horsepower. Comparable to my previous Continental sedans - a 1.4 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel respectively. Definitely works well for overtaking. No issues hitting beyond 100kmh on the expressway under 10s with other passengers on board.

However, don't expect this to be a "Driver's car". Opel has positioned this car as a "Family car" So enthusiastic drivers night not be too keen on the drive. The exterior of the car may be a hit and miss for some. I personally feel it looks quite classy and slightly different from most other SUVs.

As the pros outweigh the cons, I now own a one week old Crossland X 2020 Enjoy version.

What I like
- Price point under $100k as at Aug 2020 - with additional trade-in offers for existing cars.
- Very punchy drive
- Easy manoeuverabity on smaller roads
- Easy to park (parking camera is superbly clear for a car at this price point); comes with auto parking as well which I've yet to test this function out
- Loaded with safety features (blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning) - the previous generation of this car was rated 5-star under the Euro NCAP. Not sure about the current 2020 version.
- Spacious interior (ample legroom for rear passengers even with the drivers' seat at my driving position - I am 1.8m)
- Continental feel with a slightly heavier body for stability
- For a small-ish crossover SUV, sufficient boot space at 410 liters, that can be expanded to slightly over 500 liters with the false floor.

What I do not like
- Very basic interior for the 2020 Enjoy model (no rear air con)
- Overall interior is quite plasticky
- Interior storage is quite limited (storage space at rear doors is very small, and no secured storage space in front for your e.g. cards and sunglasses)
- Steering wheel on the light side
- Suspension can be quite stiff at road humps and bumps

Owned the car for about 2 weeks and loving it!
Nice perky car to drive in the city and expressways despite only having a 1.2T engine and 108 bhp.
High seating position and seats are firm and comfortable and has sufficient leg space though the car looked small from the outside
Lots of safety feature (Lane departure warning, front collision sensor etc). AC is strong and sound insulation is good compared to my previous car.

For a conti car @ This price, you can't ask for more
Comes with 5 yr unlimited mileage warranty and 5 yr free servicing
(Test drive car is a 2020 Crossland with 130bhp)

What I like
HUD (Innovation specs)
Large 7inch info entertainment screen (Innovation specs)
17 Inch wheels(Innovation specs)
Firm seating and great all around view
Apple play
LED headlights (innovation specs)
Auto Window for all doors
Auto anti glare rear view mirror
Park assist
Locking & unlocking sensors on all 4 doors (Innovation Specs)
UNCOMMON on SG road :)

What I do not like
No electronic hand brake
No moonroof or sunroof
Electronic and memory seats
No center console storage compartment

Can very easily say that this is a great car for everyday usability. If you are looking for a continental car(solid build) with all bells and whistles(Blind spot monitoring, Lane change sensors, Anti- collision, Self Parking etc) with a great price tag, look no further than Crossland. With its height and power steering, it is easy to menuaver in city traffic. The Seats are quite comfortable as well. The fuel consumption sits at 12-12.5 KM per litre, also the Road tax is quite less if you compare with the cars with equal power. The 1200 CC turbo engine is as powerful as a 1600CC engine in other cars.

What I like
Rear reverse parking camera is a delight, you will never go wrong with it!!
Blind spot monitoring, Lane change sensors, Anti- collision, Self Parking, fuel consumption, easy to menuaver in Singapore's city traffic and tight parking spots.
Basically a great family car and solid value for money.

What I do not like
It is such a shame that in spite of being such a fantastic every day car its Anti- Theft device is faulty, and this is a problem with most of the Crosslands as I have spoken with many other Crossland Owners and they have had the same issue.

No rear Aircon.

Test drove the Crossland X. This car is loaded with safety features like forward collision alert, blind spot alert, lane departure warning pedestrian detection 360 degree parking camera including rear parking camera and park assist and heads up display The equipment list is high specs many of which found only in cars twice its price.
The 1.2 T engine is competent and ride comfort is good. Comes with 5 years warranty and 5 years free servicing. Interior is spacious very suitable for family of 5. Back row has a flat floor great for the centre passenger.
If you are looking for a car for the family the Opel Crossland X has to be on your shortlist. At $90k plus is cheaper than a mass market Korean or Japanese car of the same size and specs

What I like
At $90k plus the depreciation is $8k a year
The safety features are impressive
Low running cost with a 1.2 l engine
Car interior is spacious and size of car is easy to manoeuvre in city driving.
Nice exterior styling with the two tone body colour
5 years warranty and 5 years servicing

What I do not like
No electronic brake
