Review
I have just bought one and have driven it for about a week now, so here are my driving impressions - both good and bad. I hope this will be useful to anyone considering this car.

This review will be broken up into six separate areas:

What I like
1. Design and styling:
It is very hard to take a large, boxy people carrier and make it look good, but Toyota has really succeeded with the Toyota Noah. The front face of the car has a really strong bold look, and the headlights really compliment the grill very well.

2. Features and practicality.
This car is BIG on practicality... but a bit basic on features. See what I do not like for the features bit. Practicality-wise, the inside is HUGE. You can easily sit 7 adults in the car with lots of headroom and legroom with no problems, and still carry luggage in the boot (but you have to stack them upright because with the third row up, the boot becomes narrower than a typical car boot, though with lots of vertical height space). The seats in the centre row can not only move forward and back, but also left and right, to accommodate a really wide variety of different seating configurations from travelling as a couple to travelling with extended family and luggage.


3. Interior.
This is a PI car and most PIs will supply the car with leather seats. So that bit will always be checked off. The captain chairs are really comfortable, and the sense of spaciousness in the big cabin really helps. The air con is REALLY powerful on ALL 3 ROWS and that is a big plus for someone who has experienced a car with weak second row air con.

4. Engine power and fuel economy.
Power is... adequate, but this car really discourages you from driving fast. You have enough to overtake, but you have to rev a bit hard to do so. Fuel economy is where it shines the brightest. Let's talk about real world driving conditions and not quoted manufacturer specs. If you drive it with a lead foot, expect around 11+ km/l. But if you drive it gently, 13 - 14+ km/l is actually quite achievable.

5. Handling / ride comfort:
This is a big and tall car, so you REALLY should not drive it like you drive a hot hatch. Having said that, if you treat it with respect and don't do anything stupid like brake all the way into the apex and/or turn in late, this care can carry a surprising amount of speed through corners. However, see the "do not like section" for more info.

Additional thoughts:
For such a big and tall car, it is very easy to maneuver in a HDB car park. Visibility is excellent, and tight turning circle makes parking a breeze. No need for 360 camera! The standard reverse camera is good enough!

What I do not like
1. Design and styling:
One thing that can be improved on are the stock 15 inch rims, which make the car have a "big body and short legs look" - but this is easily rectified with 16 or 17 inch rims. The headlights and signal lamps are LED, but there's no fancy daytime directional illumination (signal lights move from right-to-left or left-to-right, etc).

2. Features and practicality:
Well it has power doors, and my car came with Apple Car Play and a reverse camera, but that's really it for tech toys. If you're expecting the kind of bells and whistles like motion sensor tailgate, swiveling headlamps that follow your steering or even a blind spot monitor... well you have to get those aftermarket. The great thing is that because this is a parallel import car, most PIs are more than willing to arrange for endless cutomisations to create the Noah of your dreams, but bear in mind you have a price for those add-ons.

3. Interior:
Although the seats will be leather (most of the time) you have to be aware that the dashboard and door mouldings have a lot of hard plastic on them that is not covered by leather. So it's not going to feel very classy. It looks OK, but the impression of classiness ends when you touch the plastic on the dashboard and centre console. Not so good on a car of this price range.

4. Engine Power and Fuel Economy:
Fuel economy I already said is good in the above section, but take note that this comes at a cost. Engine power is quite lacking in torgue. Spec-wise, the petrol engine puts out 99hp and the electric motor puts out 82hp for a combined 134ps; which should be adequate in most conditions. On flat roads it's OK, but when going uphill you can feel a lack of torque and you must rev quite a bit more to get the car to accelerate.

5. Handling and ride comfort:
I said in the "What I like" section that this car can carry a somewhat decent amount of speed through corners. It does, but you won't feel like doing that most times. The car feels mostly stable at highway speeds, but NVH is simply not as good as what you might get from a similarly priced European (or Euro-inspired but actually Korean) car brand. The suspension fidget and road noise from this car at 70km/h is about the same as that of a similarly priced euro brand at 90km/h. That said, at this price you will never get a car this size from an euro brand, so... pick your disadvantage 😜

Review
Mine is the facelifted 7-seater model. The car is very spacious and takes in 7 people easily with enough legroom and headroom. Interior build is good with good quality plastics used. Good equipment level for its price point. Very good fuel efficiency - 16km/l with 50-50 urban-highway driving and full load. Power is so-so only, acceleration may be a struggle with full load. Road noise can be quite bad on rough roads.
