Large and good road presence but not overwhelming, adequately powered for its size. Excellent NVH, and of course superb handling. Sound system acceptable and can be better.

360 camera is superb and useful for a car this size. Gesture control is quite gimmicky.. Comes with quite little driving assistance feature sadly, but some dislikes these anyway.

What I like

Review
Having been switching in between SUVS and sedans over the past decades, I was contemplating whether I should switch back to an SUV for a(nother) change. There are pros and cons of driving an SUV vs a sedan which I shall not dwell on it here. But anyhow, I am now back to driving another SUV - the BMW X3.

Among the variety of SUVs here, the X3 is one of the better looking ones around. Granted that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, I just love how the X3 looks - from the design and shape, to the size and height.

Internally, the stylish design and build quality are equally impressive. You can immediately feel the genuine plushness and luxurious ambience of the cabin once you stepped into the vehicle. At the same time, there is a generous amount of legroom and headroom, spatially comfortable for passengers and driver.

I am impressed with the more-than-adequate tech features for safety and efficiency, though I find it a little overwhelming initially. Nevertheless, the new iDrive7 infotainment system is easy to pick up, easy to use. This X3 G01 model seems like a 'raised-up' 5 Series.

What is more impressive about the X3 is the feel of the drive, handling and engine performance. I was apprehensive and thought that I would have to sacrifice certain aspects of a sedan-drive feel. But surprisingly, the nimbleness and agility of the X3 are not far off from a sedan. Not to the extent of calling the sizeable and heavier X3 'zippy', but it is certainly responsive, engaging and smooth. Despite its 19-inch rims and stock RFTs, the X3 is impressively quiet and comfortable.

Now already in my fifth tank of fuel, and my 50-city-50-highway drive pattern, I was relieved to observe an average fuel consumption (FC) of 11km/l.

An impressive start on a BMW ownership.

What I like
1. A premium interior that is generous and practical.
2. Spacious seating and boot area.
3. Engaging and athletic drive with a decent level of agility.
4. Smooth gear controls.
5. User-friendly infotainment system.
6. Decently tech-equipped on safety and efficiency.
7. Decent FC for 50-city-50-highway usage.

What I do not like
1. Pricey as compared to some of its rivals.
2. Slightly heavier steering (maybe due to the heavier RFTs).

Review
Have just switched back to BMW and bought a X3 recently. Truly enjoy the drive and feel. Drove a BMW320i from 2013 to 2018 but switched to Merc GLC250 Coupe before the updated X3 was released. Missed the power and drive that I always enioyed in the 320i. Regretted buying the GLC250 Coupe as it was rather thirsty and I constantly felt the car was under-powered. Merc servicing costs are high.

Re-picked up the satisfaction in driving and manouvering a performance car. Will stick with BMW and will not re-consider a Merc. Really have no regrets buying the updated X3 with the full digital cockpit, equipped with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The GLC250 entertainment cluster was ill equipped but a lot more expensive when I bought it in late 2017.

What I like
- The Power of a BMW car. Truly a Driver's Car.
- Well equipped entertainment cluster
- Many colour options for interior ambient lighting
- Good Sales service
- 5 years servicing included, don't have to worry about running costs
- 5 years warranty

What I do not like
- The compartment under the front handrest could have been a little bit bigger.

Review
This is a great car to own and operate, the build quality stand out strongly against many other luxury car I had owned. Road holding and performance exceeded my expectation coupled with great sales services provided from booking to delivery .
The features built into this car very useful and not found in many luxuries car brand. No regret switching to this X3 after driving other SUV

My friend let me drive his X3, At first it didnt look very sexy. Nothing much but then the autotailgate with the foot sensor makes loading things into the boot when your hands are busy. The 360 degree camera which i could view from the hand phone app was amazing i can see who is parked beside the car etc.

you could also start the car with your apple watch! Handling of the car was smooth. The turn felt comfortable with no sliding. It was so smooth that i was not paying attention to the speed and i was already over the speed limit.

I know its the luck of the draw, i heard this car has aircon problem.

What I like
Comfort driving, a beast in sheep clothing.

What I do not like
The outlook could be more sleek. the 22 inch rims headache for getting the correct tyres.
