Review
It's firm, quite firm indeed. The new Peugeot 2008's handling has been praised elsewhere, and its not really hard to see why. If you're after that soft French vehicle ride, this is not for you. Instead, what this 2008 offers is a bit of zesty fun and style.
What I like
There's wild, crazy looks for every angle with this car. The large grille up front, the shapely black bar that houses the taillights, all scream style and flamboyance.
And then you step in and, for a small car, this thing is really built to impress. There's a 3D instrument cluster, and all the buttons on the dash are laid out in a fashion that you don't get from the Japanese or German cars.
It's small and yet you sit reasonably well perched atop the vehicle, so there's a great view out and you get the sense that, thanks to its small size you really can throw the car about and it will take it all in no problem. It's a very confidence inspiring car to drive for some reason.
What I do not like
The ride can be a bit too hard, especially if you're driving over bad surfaces. Just a compromise for that direct and precise feel you get behind the wheel.
Looks impressive outside and in, but is deceptively small within | Posted on 12 Sep 2022 |

Bold and angular exterior meet a flamboyant cabin in this new Peugeot 2008, and it has the drive to match its bold styling as well.
What I like
This is a car that is designed to impress. There's wild and bold styling on the outside: It's different, tall, and there's a large grille, all to give you that quintessential SUV look, even though you're on a small platform.
Then there's a interior. There's a cool looking instrument cluster, with a 3D effect display, although admittedly its just a head-up display placed on the cluster instead of the windscreen.
But no matter, the 2008 is a fun car to pilot nonetheless. It's a small car that shows up the best of the torque that the PSA 1.2-litre unit has to offer. Acceleration off the line is strong, and there's decent handling to match, thanks to fairly stiff springs.
What I do not like
Cabin space for rear passengers can be a bit tight.

Very nice frameless front and nice colour combination offered. Ride is silent and sound insulation is good. Handling is also steady.

Review
I have driven a number of SUV over the last 4 years.
Nissan Qashqai 1.2 0 unreliable and poor quality suv made in UK doesn't feel like a Burberry bag quality
Toyota CHR 1.2 poor acceleration simple infotainment.
BMW X2 1.5 super uncomfortable ride only rely on BMW connected don't even have apple car play/android auto
None of the above SUV provided me with what I truly long for which is fun, feature-packed, comfortable and economical.
The new Peugeot 2008 GT beats and lead the competition in B segment SUV. Won numerous awards. You can check online.
My first time for a French car Peugeot (family-owned) but compared to a Renault which I will never buy in my entire life given Nissan/Renault crap.
What I like
Keep it simple!
1. The design language is outward-looking and sporty providing a sense of presence on the road.
2. Award-winning Puretech 1.2T is a sweet-sounding powerful engine able to churn out 130hp at very low rpm 1750 and with the acceleration of 9.1sec to the 100 mark.
3. EAT8 transmission box is made by Aisin (Toyota) and is silky smooth and comes with paddle shifters. The response is good when put to transmission in M mode. The drive mode is Eco, Normal and Sport. The fun part of driving this SUV is in sport mode.
4. Cabin noise is decent. There is less road noise as the tyres equipped are Michelin Primacy. A specially developed tyres between Michelin and Peugeot for this 2008 GT. 18inch Sports Rims looks way cool.
5. Interior cabin is filled with good quality materials. There are some hard plastics but is positioned below knee level. There is carbo like materials and plushy plastics all around. There is a interior LED ambient lightings with 8 colours to choose from. The Steering wheel is comfortable to hold and beautifully designed. The gear shift is nicely designed and within easy reach.
6. 3D cockpit gives the driver a pleasant feel with the 3D projection on important information and the main screen and switches are done like in a fighter jet. There is wireless charging and phones can be linked via a cable for android auto and apple car play. If you do not want the connection to AA/ACP you can use Bluetooth and that allows you to retain phone connectivity only.
7. Sunroof and sunblind which gives a panoramic view above.
8. Keyless entry - including walk away auto lock-up.
9. Full LED systems for front and rear lights. RED DOT Award Winner https://www.red-dot.org/project/peugeot-2008-45988
10. Sound system is a factory fit and the 2008 model in Sg does not come with FOCAL sound system. Generally, 2008 sounds better than all Japanese SUVs.
11. Roof rack fittings for a bicycle. Car Doors are designed to keep your pants clean when getting in/out of suv.
12. Why did I buy Peugeot 2008 GT? The looks department ticked my box. Features that I need including apple car play and 3D I-cockpit as well as a great looking steering wheel. The 2 most important aspect to me is the ride which is a decently comfortable and punchy engine with smooth 8-speed transmission. The ride and drive are always enjoyable. Go for a test drive to be sure
What I do not like
1. Why there is no electronic tailgate?
2. Price for GT model is still high.
3. Glove box is small but still usable.
4. Engine can be loud when stationary for too long.
5. Start Stop kicks in pretty often but that is common now for all EURO cars.
6. The reverse camera is low resolution but the overall birds view reverse parking sensors is good.
7. The lane departure warning system sometimes can be overreacting.
8. Road signs recognition is mostly for speed limit and does nothing.
9. No adaptive cruise control. Why?

Review
This new Peugeot e-2008 is an excellent electric car that comes with a Cat-A COE. The car is compact and its styling is very appealing and pleasing to the eyes. The ambient lights enhance the interior further.
The seats are extremely comfortable and the ride is smooth and quiet. Insulation from exterior noise is impeccable. Driving the car is effortless and easy and the car is easy to manoeuvre around.
What I like
The grille will follow the colour of the exterior colour of the car. This little detail makes the car very unique! There is no exhaust piping and the car looks very sleek.
The car's exterior design is gorgeous and appealing and it stands out from the other brands. That makes the Peugeot very unique.
Inside, there is a futuristic 3D instrument cluster, and the button layout makes it more interesting. Despite its price, the inside looks very posh and expensive.
There's enough power in this 2008. You get that electric car surge off the line, yes, but don't expect that kind of effortlessness once you're up to motorway speed.
Still, ride quality is good. It's certainly firmer than the larger Peugeots in here. Steering is direct and precise enough. Overall, the car gives you the height and mass of a larger car without the dull controls that come with a larger body. Very nice.
What I do not like
The car lacks electric seats but adjusting the seats manually is quite effortlessly.
