As usual, an expensive towkay (boss) car. Although not many head turn, the moment see an E-Class, 1st thing that strike their mind is rich man or family.
Car a little under powered. Engine noise kinda loud. When brought back to workshop for services, MB will volunteer to pick up the car or deevelopment.

The E Class has got to be the most popular model of Mercedes-Benz here. With so many on the road, it is always recognisable. But this new model looks odd, especially the grille, it kinda looks like a car from other brands trying to imitate Mercedes, rather than the real deal. I'm not a fan of the design of the new E Class.
The interior is the typical Mercedes look, which is quite well made and designed - no real gripes here.
The engine is rather powerful and feels good on the E200 test drive, probably due to its 2 litre engine that is assisted with the mild hybrid system. I noticed how the car start-stop very smoothly, was told that it is due to the 48V mild hybrid system. This is a definite plus for the car.
Although, for a Mercedes saloon, the ride is harsher than expected, furthermore it isn't a sports model like the AMG, or a coupe. Mercedes really should have focused more on comfort than trying to make it sporty, that isn't what a normal E Class is made for.
What I like
- Nice Mercedes interior
- 48V mild hybrid smooth start stop
- Powerful engine
What I do not like
- Stiff, harsh ride that shouldn't be expected from a non-sports Mercedes saloon
- Ugly looks
Awkward looking but it will still sell because it's MB | Posted on 28 Apr 2021 |

The ugliest MB ever. Looks like it was designed in Korea, not the South btw. Plush drive, typically boring. Hard seats. Sorry, not buying.
What I like

What I do not like
Design is a disaster
Good handling, powerful engine, bloody hard suspension | Posted on 17 Feb 2021 |

List price is very marked up. Their weird sales tactic is that they will only communicate the real selling price in person. Expect more that $10K off.
What I like
Spacious interior
Powerful engine
Good handling
What I do not like
Hard suspension
cabin prone to fingerprints

The 2021 Mercedes Benz E-class facelift might seem like very minimal changes, but it fixes the main problems faced by the previous generation.
Right off the bat, we are faced with new styling, on both the headlights and the taillights inspired by the A-class line-up. I prefer the previous generation styling better as there is more distinction between the C-class and S-class, but because of the similar components, a person who buys the E-class would not mind as it looks very similar and indistinguishable from the new S-class. Overall, due to the new headlights and more aggressive and slimmer front grille and side profile, the new E-class looks very sleek yet elegant.
The interior is what you expect from a 300k priced car. The interior quality is fabulous. You cannot find any faults with it, it looks modern yet maintains the image of prestige. For others, the touchpad might be hard to use, but I do not find any difficulties using it. Otherwise, the touchscreen is very responsive and smooth. It also comes with android auto and apple car play, which should be the no for a 2021 car. The seats are very plush and comfortable, and the space at the back seats is very generous. The only complaint is that the seats do not support as much thigh support as compared to a 5-series. The boot space is sufficient at 540 litres.
The drive is improved and more enjoyable than the previous generation. The drive is sportier and the steering is more responsive and slightly heavier. The suspension is slightly stiffer and sportier, which gives it a hint of sportier nature rather than a comfort-based car. I highly recommend the air suspension option as it elevates the ride to a whole new luxurious level.
The engine for the base model E200 is sufficient and easy to recommend as it is pumped up to 194 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. This is sufficient for driving in Singapore as the 9-G Tronic gearbox makes acceleration smooth yet very punchy. It has a good fuel economy at 12.7km/L, which is achieved with the help of a mild-hybrid system.
Overall the Mercedes E class has lived up to the reputation of the go-to executive sedan as it provides the right mixture of versatility and luxury at a reasonable price. The facelift has made the E class a better and versatile car, which makes it very easy to recommend to anyone looking for a car in this segment.
What I like
I like how this car appeals to itself as an easy option in the executive sedan market. It is the perfect blend of luxury and versatility.
The styling is much more sleek and elegant, and due to the interlinking of the design language of the whole line-up, looks very similar to the S class. This gives people the impression that you are driving a more expensive car, which I prefer over an understated look.
The interior is well-improved, from the infotainment system to the rear space. The infotainment system is much smoother and easier to use as it has two ways of navigation, through the touchscreen and touchpad instead of just the control knob like the previous generation. The rear space is generous and can fit 3 adults very easily in the back. It is what you expect from a car in this segment.
The ride is improved, with a lesser body roll due to the sportier suspension. Despite that, it still retains its comfortable ride, with the suspension soaking up bumps with ease. The cabin is well-insulated and quiet, which adds to the refinement of the car as a whole. This gives the E-class a very comfortable and luxurious ride.
The driving of the car is improved, with sportier steering with more feedback than the previous generation, which makes it easier to drive. The engine is bumped up and made more efficient due to the addition of the mild-hybrid system. I like how the base engine stills packs a punch due to the increased horsepower and torque, and yet manages a 12.7km/L, which is very good for a car this size.
Overall I like how this car does good in all segments of a car, maintaining its image of a versatile yet luxurious sedan.
What I do not like
I do not like the number of features that do not come standard. Like for example blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist, which comes in standard in many cars with a lower price tag. For the price that we pay to get the car, I feel such features should be standard rather than an add-on.
Another thing that I do not like is its price. It is priced at around 300k, and options would usually lead to a price point of 360k. I feel that other German competitors like 5-series and A6 feel more like a bargain compared to the E-class as they have many features that do come in as standard in their base models and are priced much lower. As such I feel that the E-class is average for value for money due to its direct competitors being priced lower with more features as standard, thus if the brand is taken out of comparison, you are paying more for less.
