Review With Cupra still largely an unknown brand here in Singapore, this Leon could be the ultimate 'Q' hatch. It can be comfortable and discreet on the go, or fast and shouty about if you so wish.
What I like It's just the right blend of sleek yet aggressive on the exterior. Those that are unfamiliar with the brand will pass it of as just another hatch. But those in the know, well, will know.
DCC means that's a wide band of damper options available to you. Set it to maz comfort and the car is near boaty, and mostly undisturbed on bad roads. Set it to Cupra mode and things get tight when you throw the car around, yet never crashy or rough.
2.0-litre unit here also delivers plenty of power. You'll have to dial in the revs if you're looking to scare yourself, but that's really no chore with the quick shifting dual-clutch. And with the sportier exhaust mode on, this thing will not shy from delivering you all the pops and crackles you want, even when driven only at a moderate pace.
There's loads of customisation in the instrument cluster as well, although all but one of the settings all look a little cluttered.
What I do not like There's little brand recognition in this thing, and for the price you pay, there's a lot of other, more recognisable metal out there to get. But that's exactly why you purchase this car right?
