The Suzuki Ignis is a funky compact crossover that's perfect for new drivers living in a city like Singapore.

What We Dislike
At close to $110k, it's not exactly chump change
Rear seats are best left for two occupants

Looking for some of the character of the Jimny but want a touch more refinement? This Ignis could be what you've been looking for.

What I like
It does not have the square, boxy design of the Jimny, but the Ignis is still something interesting to look at, thanks to thoes unique head lights, and that unique C-pillar design.

It's still a small hatch/crossover thing, sure, but engine road noise is still way more palpable in this Ignis, and the ride quality is many notches greater as well.

Inside, everything is still remarkable utilitarian. You get hard plastics everywhere, and the infotainment is basic, although admittedly, it is a charming thing to look at.

What I do not like
Don't expect fast acceleration. And once you get up to speed, don't expect a smooth or quiet ride. It's also a small car here, so space at the rear is not great.

Decided to downsize from a large sedan.

Collected my ivory colour ignis on the 22 March. This cute little pug has a peppy 4 cylinder 1.2 engine and is perky and lively on the roads.

It rides higher than a typical hatchback and is very easy to handle, with good visibility. I like the fact that it is Made in Japan.

In my humble opinion, the suzuki ignis is very suitable for a city landscape like our sunny island.

A very underrated car. High COE prices not helping matters but i am sure Champion Motors will cut a good deal for keen buyers.
