Review after 1 year  Posted on 27 Sep 2024

After driving few SUVs, this is first sedan car I brought, have been driving for almost 1 year, I am very satisfied with it performance. Yes, a bit lack of power, a bit low and slightly take some effort to get in and out of the car but driving it and feel the comfort and the "Brand", it's not a bad choice. Safety and other features, it's enough to drive and enough. The salesperson Angeline also is very firendly and customer oriented. Even after sales, I always look for her when there is an issue and she is very helpful to assist me to resolve.

A sleek coupe and a looker anytime!  Posted on 26 Jul 2024

Drove for 3 months now. Tried once and booked on the spot. Drive is smooth and power is more than ample for a city drive. Slightly sluggish upon pick up but accelerates very quickly. Car feels efficient and perky on road and is a pleasure to drive and even more pleasurable to look at.

Mercedes interior has always been a great draw. Hard to find a match. Space may be tighter at the back but really not a problem even for a 1.8M. Headroom considered ample for a coupe. Legroom is very decent too for a compact.

A very good buy for the equipment list. Was looking at GLB and GLA but got swayed by this sleek looker instead. No regrets!

A sleek and handsome exterior meets a sensible drivetrain in the CLA180. If you're looking to capture some of the style of Mercedes-Benz's latest and more sportier models, but don't fancy their high price tags, this car could be what you're after.

What I like
It's sleek, for sure. And elegant grille, gently sloping roofline, taillights that give the car added width are all nice touches.

And on the inside, the car gets a nice dual-screen infotainment system as well. Although build quality is in desperate need of improvement.

Ride is decently pliant over larger obstacles, although broken road reveals a brittle side to Mercedes' setup.

What I do not like
Door sills are high, passenger space is stingy.

Mercedes' popular CLA has received a facelift that sees its exterior and infotainment system getting updated. Is this enough to keep it as popular as its predecessor?

What I like
A light facelift means that only fans of the brand/model will be able to spot this updated car from the one before. There's new head lights and taillights, bumpers, and a new centre console and steering wheel.

The new interior is certainly more straightforward than before, although I'm not too sure if customers are willing to put up with the minimal amount of storage space available in the cabin.

Overall, the CLA is still a distilled coupe experience. There's isn't enough power to thrill, not in the 180, and the ride is neither sporty nor extravagantly comfortable.

What I do not like
Door sills and tall, and rear passengers knee room and head room are dismal if you're above average height.

Owned this beauty a month. I am a sedan fan and this is my 4th new cars in Singapore and the only Coupe I have so far. I started from Toyota, Honda and before this was a Kia. I always thought the Kia is the most comfortable car although old engine with mediocre performance. Once I tested the Coupe, I found it is a lot better than all the cars that I owned in terms of comfort and power. The handling is awesome and very minimum body row when turning due to the low profile setup.

A very nice looking car and the brand is no doubt presented a slightly above average status. The feeling of fulfillment is particularly strong as I came from Japanese and Korean cars. I was thinking the price of this Coupe is more than enough to pick a Tesla with instant torque or most of the SUVs that offers space and higher power in local market, but I still chosen this car as it gives me the feeling I want. Very happy about my decision and enjoying the ride.

The above is just my personal opinion. Go for what you need and what you willing to pay for.

What I like
- Handsome Look.
- Low profile setup and almost no body row.
- The mighty mild hybrid technology that offer power/torque during pickup.
- The 1.3 Engine performance is good enough for an average man like me.
- Size of the car. Decent size and easy to drive in SG road.

What I do not like
- It is quite expensive.
- Internal space is limited.
- Limited height of the boot (understand it is due to coupe design).
- Room for QC improvement as the door panel has rattling sound, but I managed to resolve it myself.

Well, pretty decent but unfortunately it showed up in error on the 3rd day. Need to send it back to Cycle to recalibrate the multifunctional camera. Seems like a poor QC done in Hungary. The door had weird sound on the passenger side (something loose internally), haven went for further check. Paying premium get this quality. Compared to the previous gen, wireless CarPlay is the best change. Other than that, you give up on the mouse pad, and steering controls were not the same as before, which means you lose a lot of features in MBUX. You can no longer customize your menu. Alot of things restricted.

So... New model doesn't mean good.
