Review
A small and easy-to-park car with sufficient leg space despite its small size. The powerful aircon, the cute look, the reasonable car price, the compact exterior size, the ease of steering, the low oil consumption and the boot space.

The auto transmission gear when change to reverse or D is not very smooth sometimes, the blindspot is a bit hard to check, the pickup speed is a bit too slow when there are full load in the car, the car will jerk when going over bumps even at low speed, the window at the back have to be rolled up and down manually, no pocket pouch for the back seats, small compartment for putting things.

What I like
The aircon, car price, the exterior size, the steering, the oil consumption and the boot space.

What I do not like
The auto transmission gear control, pickup speed, car jerking when going over bumps, the manual window at the back, lack of pocket pouch for back seats, small compartment.

Review
Have this ride (manual) for 2 over years. This ride is 100% worth for the amount you paid. A non-fuzzy peopls car.

What I like
Small and zippy
Good fuel consumption - 29-30L i can go about 500+-km (Singapore area travelling within 70-90km range)
Easy to handle
Low maintainence cost (at least till now)
Good for it class, i had drove to genting for 5 times and malacca for once, with 2 adults and 2 kids (Condiser i am a 100kg man)
Top speed at 150+-Km/hr at NS highway and still stable
Very stable while cruising

What I do not like
Vehicle abit light
Small boot
Slower at pickup and 4th gear

First time owner here, if you are looking a car with power then this car is not for you. This car is recommended for ppl who travel from A to B.

Be prepared to wait up to 3 mths if they dun have the colour you want. The waiting time to get the car is a bit turn off though.

I encounter same problem like reviewer 3. They dont know what is promise. I waited for a month plus but still cant get the car.

I am looking for a car, during Jan 09. As this is the first time, I look for new car. Picanto is the first show room, i visited. The sale staff, is not so willingly to give freebies, worst of all, he advised me to go other model car to test drive, before go to his place to test drive. What is "test drive" to them. Of course, customer need to "test drive" before making decision..His attitude turn me off to get picanto. Proton's sale staff, more willingly to give freebies and let me test drive, knowing,the deal is not comfirmed. Even, after sale service is good.

I got the car on 6 Feb 2009. COE on 22 Jan. So far the service is ok.
First top-up 28L (No.92) run 280 km. Second top-up 31.6L run 275 km.
This car is easy to handle. The interior is very good. The exterior is cute. But it does not have rear wiper. This is very strange, as almost all hatchback has rear wiper.

What I like
Easy to handle;
Reasonable good quality at this price.
Start-up is fast.

What I do not like
Pick up is slow at 40-60 km/h
FC is not so good as in other's review. Only less than 9 km/L for city driving at west part of Singapore.

I bought the car on Jan 2009, and i got the COE on 4th Feb.

Now my car is still not here.

The sales executive always promise to update me periodically but never do so (already 5 occurances). Only I message him than he update me.

He even promise me to deliver on the week after the COE successfully bid, but he never get back to me until i message him the week later. Then he promise to update me on the same week , but he also never do that. 2nd week since he never get back to me, I message him for status, he told me it will be only come on 1st week of march.

Now i even expect the promise will not be met. Why Kia provide such a poor service and do not understand what is the meaning of promise?

I really doubt whether i am a customer or the sales exective as the customer since i am the one need to ask him than he update me. Is it so difficult to message or call a customer for the status?

Very poor customer service where car need to wait for one month after got the COE even not sure can deliver after one month having COE.

My friend with Hyundai Getz got the car only 2 weeks from the COE bid and with full solar firm, sport rim and ladder seat.

Owned the manual version for the past 3 yrs with 60,000km clocked. Overall, for the price paid, the car is a reliable one with adequate features.

Drove this car to Genting Highlands (2 pax) without any problems. FC is great at 20km/l, speed maintained at 100-120km/hr (before hitting the uphills). However, the best FC attained in Singapore is 15km/l, worst at 12km/l

Soundproofing is not exactly great, but generally acceptable.

Changed to tire profiles of 185 after clocking 40k km on the stock tires. Stability and handling is better.

What I like
-Good FC when travelling long distance
-Cheap maintenance, tires.
-Stable drive even at 120km/h
-big boot space when all rear seats folded down.
-good value

What I do not like
-Insulation could be better
-Reverse gear difficult to engage after 50k km.
-Alarm spoilt after 1yr, but it's after market installed.
-only Front 2 speakers active.
-small boot space with rear seats up.

Review
I have owned this car for more than 3 years. Gotten it because it is the most affordable car at that time, which the feature is worth the price. It comes with 7 color to choose from, I got the orange one because of its bright color, it is easily seen at night or day. This car FC is good which can reach 22KM/l for manual and about 14KM/l, provided you stay at 2000 rpm between 70km - 80km/hrs.

What I like
1. Fuel consumption, currently 28L that can travel up to 400KM
2. Easy to clean and wash which save water and soap.
3. Easy to park (Reference from parking at New World Hotel)
4. Easy to handle, U turn with ease at the most adverse corners.
5. Squeeze between tight lanes
6. Low maintenance cost
7. Lower fuel cost, highest reach $60 for full tank during the high fuel price. Currently pump only $40 for full tank.
8. Pretty good body cage design.
9. Good color scheme to choose from.

What I do not like
1. Small boot
2. Shakey over high humps or sharp humps
3. Pretty dangerous for small boot if people hit you from behind. Then no more boot.
4. Need to change battery at least once a year while others may run at least 2 to 2.5 years.

Not worth buying. Would definitely look around for a better option.

What I like
Easy to drive as it is such a small car.

What I do not like
The Picanto has such a small wheelbase is extremely uncomfortable when going over a hump or on bumpy roads. Well, lets hope that Kia works harder and comes up with a better small car.

Just got a FL model. Good car for a first time driver like me. Easy parking due to small frame size. Not too cramp for someone with my height (178cm)

Good car for first time buyer like myself. Has been driving it for 3 years without a single problem.

Driven up to both Cameron and Ghenting without any problem.

What I like
Good FC, easy to mod, easy to park. Most spacious interior for cars around 1.0 litre car.

What I do not like
Rear door windows unpowered. No auto side mirrors. Small boot space and engine bay. Stock 13" rim is a joke and dangerous, change to at least a 14" ASAP for safety.

Most recommended compact car. Don't be fooled by its interior. I drive once to KL with my 3 kids, maid, wife and my Mum in-law.Engine a bit noisy but still perform well at an average 110-115kmh speed on Highways. Good compact cars after Viva 1.0, Kelisa 1.0, Savvy 1.2.Well done Kia!

I have been driving the Picanto for about 3yrs now and it hasn't failed me. I drive on the backroads in Msia frequently and it has stood up to the challenge well.

Kia C&C provides good service, not that I have to go that often.

The description column on this website is pretty accurate.

What I like
The interior design. It is well-thought out for a small car, with hooks and lights in all the right places.

The stability of the car. Even my passengers are impressed when it hugs the curve of the highway at speed. It also went down a short flight of steps and it's great!

The size! I can park easily in the smallest lot.

What I do not like
- Would prefer if the hatch door locks and unlocks separately.
- Occasional clutch stucks, only a problem if you drive manual.
- Non-automatic side view mirrors.
- Original wheels need to be changed to 14/15 inch.
- Dashboard space for objects is too curvy and slippery.
