When pushed hard, the car does not accelerate quick and hard plastics inside the cabin. One may be deceived by its looks but most people will be smart enough to know that this car is of low quality. It vibrates alot probably due to the SOHC engine where most of its rivals are already using DOHC.
What I like
REAR VENTS
STYLING
EPB
What I do not like
SOHC ENGINE
FLOOR INTRUSION AT THE BACK
PLASTIC FINISHES
VIBRATION
POOR ACCELERATION
HARD SUSPENSION
AVERAGE HANDLING ALTHOUGH HARD SUSPENSION

To simply describe the latest Civic: looks good on paper, and also looks good in metal!
On paper, the new Civic Turbo has a 1.5l turbo engine, producing 173hp of power, with 0-100km/h done in 8.6 seconds, and yet the fuel consumption is just 5.9L/100km. On top of these, the CO2 emission is just 135g/km, thereby qualified for $5000 CEVS rebate!
In real metal sheets, the Civic needs no further comment on its beauty. Signature full LED headlamps and the angular C-shape LED light guides at the rear are just some of the elements that make the Civic stands out from the crowd. The lights look exceptionally attractive at night when they are lighted up.
Other equipment that makes the Civic one class above the rest includes the Honda Landwatch system which has a camera installed in the left side mirror which capture the view of the blind spot, electronic parking brake than can be activated/deactivated easily with a push button, as well as the presence of rear ventilation outlet for the comfort of rear passengers.
Looking at various models available in the market, the latest Civic really stands out from the rest. 1.5 Turbo version is the one to get, even though the 1.6 version is also quite good. This car will not only attract C-segment sedan buyers (like Altis, Sylphy, Elantra and Jetta etc), but will also attract buyers from other classes (Camry, Accord, CLA, and even BMW 3-series). Honda has once again reformulated the definition of a C-segment family sedan, bringing up the standards that other car manufacturers will have a hard time to cope with.
What I like
Sporty Design
LED headlamps and tail lights
17" factory designed sport rims
Unique-looking rear spoiler
Spacious interior
Driver's odometer design
Landwatch system
Rear ventilation outlet
What I do not like
Rallye red is too light and does not suite the car well. HRV's "Premium Crystal Red Metallic" is nicer.
No in-built navigation system

Kah Motor has offer 2 version of Civic on sale in Singapore. 1.6L and 1.5 L Turbo. The overall design is refreshing and break away from the perious model. It now wears a more up class and sporty look. The 1.6L has a carry over engine and 1.5L is the latest model with turbo besides Honda Jade.
The equipment list for the Turbo has lane-watcher, LED headlights ,sun-roof and the most important : Tubro Charged Engine. All those with a price tag of about 20K diffrence as compared with 1.6L model. The car seats and balanced well when taking corners , thanks to the wide tires. Interior looks very up market. 1.6L falls under CAT A for COE where the 1.5L turbo is CAT B because of the power rating. If one has some cash to spare, go for the 1.5L turbo.
What I like
Upclass apprareance both inside and outside.
Good handling.
Best Design in years to come
Head Unit with Carplay
Turbo option
What I do not like
No manual gearbox for Turbo

We picked this car because of the legacy and accolades it had won over many fans all over the world. It carries so much hype that deserve even a little attention if one is not a fan of thailand made product. Drive train is almost perfect and driver comfort and ergonomics are top notch. However, it is valued well if priced appropriately.
What I like
Styling, Low and Wide
Pickup and Responsive
Fuel Economy
Spacious and comfortable interior
Quality soft plastic all around
Dual Exhaust
LED Headlights
What I do not like
Small Petrol Tank Size (can only squeeze in 41L)
Huge Overhang makes car a little time to adapt
Honda Paintwork quality is lousy
A little Noisy engine esp when throttled
Some areas hard matt plastic looks cheap
CVT sound

Power on this car is great for the small engine displacment. Driving a 07 model. So far with regular servicing the car is very reliable. Honda produces one of the more reliable engines that can last.
What I like
Styling of exterior. Digital standard odometer and tachometer. Gearbox is tight.
What I do not like
Car feels a tad heavy. Fuel consumption about 10km/l, not that fantastic.

Test drove the 1.6 version Honda Civic , for me a Honda City driver this will be an upgrade of sorts but the price tag is a bit too high at current coe prices, overall if I take out the made in Thailand Equation , although my City was fine but seems like KAH motors is trying to increase her margin. End of the day , hope the Modulo Kit can soon be packaged in as a better deal , saw the Rally Red with Modulo Kit , it really makes my day.
What I like
Exterior Styling
Turbo Option
Honda Engine performance
Got Striking RED colour not those dull Maroon , Ruby and Metallic Red shade.
What I do not like
Price too high
Leather seats can be better quality.
The Stupid Fuel Cap lock which my City had . A simple level will do just fine.

Went to Kah Motor to test the new Civic 1.6L. First impression is not a bad exterior design look, not as stylish as the predecessor.
While closing looking at the exterior, noticed that it still comes with halogen lights where only the 1.5L turbo has LED where what era are we in still having halogen. Backlights looks cool though where boot space is adequate as well.
Interior looks cheapo and feels inferior. The leather seats is wrapped up like a PI car and not sewed up type.
Gadgets not much and not even having Honda Sensing at all as option. Disappointed as only the Legend has it. Only the reverse camera has moving grid lines called iPAS.
The drive was not to my expectation where pick up and moving off is sluggish, to compare with the previous model.
Gear changes are slow and at times have to release throttle n accelerate again to "Feel" The gear changes.
Tried to "Dash" A little by hitting the throttle to overtake but to my surprise the charging is not there at all, claiming to have 120+bhp and doesn't seem to be there at all.
Overall, this is not what I am expecting to the new Civic which the previous model at 1.6L performs so much better.
Plus with this price tag and with such a "Normal" Ride that its giving than a conventional Honda where at times have a GO, I rather get other makes like Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Altis or even Chevrolet Cruze if AD and Honda Shuttle if PI.
What I like
New exterior design
Nothing else
Reverse parking camera comes with iPAS
What I do not like
Under power
Halogen lights and no option to LED
Inferior quality interior
No Honda Sensing option
Sluggish pickup
Gear changes not smooth

Test driven the new Civic last weekend. I'd say it looks very good on the outside, but once I opened the door I thought something is amiss. For a brand new car, charging at a price higher than equivalent models, i had expected a better interior in terms of material used. Turned out that there are extensive use of hard and seemingly cheap plastics everywhere - dash board, area near gear lever, and door panel (especially evident on two rear doors). I believe there's more as I've yet to 'inspect' it fully. Seat covers are locally installed - there's still a zip on the 2 front seats which looks cheap and aftermarket. Speaking about seats, the rear seat looks a tad dissappointing as it looks small. There's also a huge centre hump at the backseats, made me feel this car is built 20 years back. For all these shortcomings, one would rather buy a Korean 1.6s which offers almost everything you can think of - soft touch surface, list and list of equipments and niceties, Ventilated seats, flat rear floor etc.
The overall space feels much smaller too than the old Civic which is so spacious and airy.
About the drive, good thing is that it's powerful and ride is stable. However if one has driven a new Toyota, Nissan or Lexus or any comfort-focused car, you'll be disappointed to realise that this Civic vibrates too much for liking especially when idling. I had to push it to N mode to stop the vibration. This is something not expected of a new car.
The only thing that makes this a worthy buy would be the powerful engine and stable ride, and possibly the gearbox from Honda. I felt my current Civic (2006 model) is much more refined, and interior fittings felt better. Just my 2 cents worth - personally I would choose an Altis/Sylphy over this.
What I like
Design
Engine
Gear box
BMW-style cockpit (looks good and everything within comfortable reach, which makes the space feels cramped)
Key less entry
What I do not like
Interior fit and finish - hard plastics, cheap leather seat cover
Computerized speedometer
Hollow door (knock on it to get what I mean)
Smaller interior space than previous generations of civic
Cheap looking steering wheel buttons

Could only test the 1.6 version in SG 2 weeks back. Lovely car when saw it at first sight. Exterior and interior looks great. Elegent and sporty.
What I like
Looks a combination of elegance and sportiness. Spacious boot and rear seats.
What I do not like
1.6 is well under-powered and the noise insulation is not that good.

I am surprise to read that the engine 1600CC and not the 1.5Turbo that Japan and America is using.
It will be just like VEZEL where PI will have a higher spec compare to agent again.
What I like

What I do not like
Agent bring in 1600cc and not the 1.5Turbo engine.

I test drove the 1.6 NA engine with CVT gearbox
Perhaps my expectations were raised. Perhaps I read too many overwhelming reviews, especially those from USA saying how quiet the ride is, it turned out to be otherwise. Same for the interior built quality.
I still think it has its appeal, but far from head & shoulder class leading.... The price point is also a bit odd.
Try it, try other cars, and judge it yourself
What I like
Good interior space, especially rear seats (classy leading surely)
The low seats were not that difficult to get in and out of except front passenger
Nice, sporty interior dash
Support Apple Car Play & Android Auto
Good trunk space and opening for its class
Smooth 1.6 drive train (though I have to constantly rev above 3k when taking off)
Light and direct handling
What I do not like
Interior built quality a letdown, too many hard plastics (reflective somemore)
Door panels sounded hollow, and yes; more of the same eye sore hard plastic
Front passenger seat really very low, lower than the rest; not easy to get in & out
While spacious, rear bench lacks thigh support
Poor NVH, the test drive was full of own tyre noise and that from other vehicles

From the short test drive, the car's handling and performance meets my expectation. As with all 4 cylinder cars, it does get a little noisy when pushed and the SE quickly got me to slow down.
Looks-wise, interior and exterior are dashing in my eyes.
Seats are comfortable for my family of 4. I like low seats and personally think it is perfect.
The steering wheel's weight and feel is just nice.
I am sure it is a very capable car for city driving but it will be good if we get a chance sometime to test it in the highway and try on routes with more bends.
Eagerly awaiting the 1.5 Turbo version which should be a blast with better engine and more features such as sunroof and electric driver seats.
What I like
Almost everything is perfect
What I do not like
Some interior parts feel flimsy.
Lack of electric tailgate, Honda Sensing and navigation but I am being picky.
