A strategic model for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the Mitsubishi L200 has been developed as a 'Sport Utility Truck' that reaches new heights of reliability, toughness, interior comfort and manoeuvrability.

The all new 2.4-litre MIVEC turbocharged diesel engine (4N15), mated to an all new six-speed manual transmission, has been improved and now achieves a CO2 output of 169g/km - a 17 percent reduction. The new engine generates 178bhp/156bhp and 430Nm/380Nm respectively at low revs and delivers strong performance even when loaded with cargo.

Inside, a quieter interior is achieved through the all new diesel engine and noise-reducing measures on the vehicle body. Enlarged body mounts and extended rear suspension leafs provide for a smoother vibration-free ride. By refining the body structure, a seven percent increase in torsional rigidity has been achieved.

Improvement in safety features include the SS4-II (Super Select 4WD II (with low gear, full-time 4WD), which allows for better cornering stability even on paved road. Drivers can choose four driving modes by rotating drive mode selector. Other safety features include Active Stability & Traction Control with Trailer Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist systems and Lane Departure Warning.

The all new L200 is built by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand for all global markets and will be available in both Club Cab and Double Cab body styles.
