Bollinger Motors has revealed the first image of the four-door version of its B1 all-electric sport utility truck. The sketch also shows off a new orange exterior colour, which will also be available at launch. "We always wanted to make a four-door version of the B1," said Robert Bollinger, Designer and CEO. "And our Assistant Designer Ross Compton and I developed a great sketch. The vehicle still has great proportions, and its amazing off-road capabilities remain intact since we only had to stretch the chassis by nine inches."
Adding the two doors creates a new overall vehicle length of 4,039mm and new wheelbase of 2,896mm. While the truck will have the same class-leading ground clearance (394mm), adjustable wheel travel (+127mm/-127mm), approach (56 degrees) and departure angles (53 degrees), it will also have a new breakover angle of 31 degrees.
The lengthier vehicle now provides an additional 170 litres of cargo volume for a total of 2,860 litres. Both the two and four-door variants will have the same battery options available of either 60kWh or 100kWh. Engineering the B1 to production is underway and additional specifications and information will be made available in future announcements.
