Singapore's newest Ferrari Challenge driver, Martin Berry, has clinched the overall title in the Trofeo Pirelli 458 class.

, Singapore's newest Ferrari Challenge driver, has brought home the ultimate reward from his debut season in the one-make series. The Melbourne native who resides in the Lion City had clinched the overall title in the Trofeo Pirelli 458 class by the fifth stop of the six-round series, held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. With Berry's outstanding performance, Singapore official distributor Ital Auto was awarded the Asia Dealer Cup for the 2017 season.

At the recent Finali Mondiali, the annual event celebrating the close of Ferrari's global racing season, held at the legendary Mugello circuit in Tuscany, Berry kept up his series of brilliant performances with first-place finishes in both Asia Pacific Challenge races, a feat that earned him a spot in the final World Championship race. Fighting amongst the best drivers in the world, Berry put up a tough fight but had to settle for second place, albeit only 1.114 seconds behind the winning driver.

As Ambassador for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Berry had appointed five-year old Wish child, Primus, as his Chief Race Engineer for his debut season, featuring Primus' livery design and autograph on his car and helmet. For 2018, Berry will continue to race in Ferrari Challenge and looks forward to being in and racing the new 488 Challenge.
