Named after the 'greatest driving road in the world', the Stelvio Pass, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is the first ever SUV from the Italian marque. The entry level Stelvio Super will be available to purchase in Singapore from December 2018 at EuroAutomobile, the sole distributor of Alfa Romeo here.

Meanwhile the full Stelvio range, including the 510bhp Stelvio Quadrifoglio, is expected to be unveiled here during the Singapore Motor Show period next year.

The Stelvio Super is poised to deliver a thrilling driving experience and outstanding performance with its sporty and seductive styling. For the first time in more than a century of its history, the distinctive features of the genuine 'Alfa spirit' have come together in an SUV.

Its artfully chiselled surfaces and sophisticated flourishes come together to make a charismatic statement of visual poise and prestige. In the driver's seat, you'll find a small, direct-ratio, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel that suits different driving styles.

Just behind the steering wheel, sits a 7.0-inch full-colour Driver Information Digital Cluster Display, featuring a double-binnacle design - a nod to Alfa Romeo's historic interior design. Sited next to the Digital Cluster Display, is an 8.8-inch high-resolution Alfa Connect display, which is easily accessed with two rotary controls.

Developed in partnership with Magneti Marelli, the Alfa Connect presents a new frontier in infotainment with its integral 3D navigation function. The sophisticated Alfa Connect display also allows drivers to stay connected with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto without taking their eyes off the road. A Harman-Kardon audio system completes the state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Tailored like a bespoke suit, the tasteful and elegant interior also provides plenty of room for passengers to enjoy the pleasures of travelling together.

The panoramic sunroof gives occupants a sense of lightness and an air of exclusivity, while the interior is finished with painstakingly crafted leather sport seats, full grain, real woods and modern fabrics. With a generously sized 525-litre boot, the Stelvio also has all the extra space for any planned or unplanned events.

The Stelvio Super comes with an all-aluminium 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 198bhp and a maximum torque of 330Nm. Coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift technology, there is no compromise on driving pleasure or efficiency.

The Stelvio Super completes the century sprint in 7.2 seconds and accelerates all the way to a top speed of 215km/h.

Built to excel in all driving conditions, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio combines the petrol engine with an innovative Q4 all-wheel drive system that guarantees unbeatable performance, traction and safety. The Q4 system continuously monitors road conditions to ensure that a perfect 50:50 weight distribution is transferred across both the front and rear axles.

The exclusive AlfaLink rear suspension designed with vertical rods enhances performance, driving pleasure and passenger comfort by keeping the tyres firmly planted on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Stelvio's Chassis Domain Control serves as the SUV's 'mind', coordinating all the active systems to deliver the utmost driving experience. The Stelvio also raises the bar in safety by incorporating a whole suite of safety systems.

They include the Integrated Brake System (IBS), allowing shorter stopping distances, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB), which warns the driver of a potential front collision and activates the braking system automatically, a Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring System.
