Mercedes-AMG is introducing a range of upgrades for the update of its successful GLC43 4MATIC SUV and Coupe models.

The retweaked AMG engine will be visually identifiable by its engine cover with red aluminium insert and AMG lettering
The AMG-specific radiator grille, new light designs, redesigned front apron and rear end make these entry-level models into the world of Mercedes-AMG SUVs visibly more appealing.

The 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo engine now develops 384bhp, 22bhp more than before, while peak torque of 520Nm is available from 2,500 to 4,500rpm.

The engine now sports larger, standalone turbocharger units which are mounted close to the engine for faster response times, guaranteeing exceptional performance.

It will now take a mere 4.9 seconds for the SUV and Coupe to accelerate from zero to 100km/h, while top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h.

The standard-specification AMG Performance 4MATIC four-wheel drive features rear-biased torque distribution with a front/rear axle split of 31% to 69%. This configuration provides for enhanced driving dynamics and higher lateral acceleration on the road as well as improved traction when accelerating. The single-stage transfer case of the four-wheel drive system is flange-mounted to the transmission as a separate system.

Elsewhere, restyled LED High Performance headlamps with a flare effect for the daytime running lamps serve to emphasise the expressive character of the front section.

The updated GLC43 also features a different rear apron, diffuser and two round twin tailpipes
The rear end has also been tweaked to feature a different rear apron, diffuser and two round twin tailpipes, adding to the sporty look, providing an unmistakable light signature.

The SUV will feature sports seats as standard, offering improved lateral support to both the driver and front passenger.

They are upholstered in black Artico man-made leather/Dinamica microfibre with a distinctive seat upholstery layout with red topstitching.

Both SUV and Coupe models of the GLC43 4MATIC offer plenty of space for passengers and luggage in conjunction with a flexible interior, an extensive range of safety features and a high level of long-distance comfort. Additional possibilities for individualisation now come courtesy of the new options for cranberry/black leather or magma grey/black leather.

The updated cars will also feature the trailblazing voice control activated with the words 'Hey Mercedes'. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the Mercedes-Benz User Interface now recognises and understands nearly all sentences from the fields of infotainment and vehicle operation, even if they are expressed indirectly.
