The 12th generation of the Toyota Corolla Altis has been launched at the 2020 Singapore Motor Show.

The tapered body gives a fun and aerodynamic profile to the new Toyota Corolla Altis
The Corolla Altis has been thoroughly redesigned and now sports a tapered body with character lines that flow from the front to the rear, delivering a fun and aerodynamic profile that conveys maturity, prestige and class.

The new body is also enhanced by the car's six different colour options, which includes a new and highly iridescent Celestite Grey Metallic.

On the interior, high-gloss materials are paired with matte elements to accentuate a premium look and feel. The car sports supportive seats, and front passengers are now faced with an interior design that adds to an open and harmonious cabin, thanks to its neat design and thin upper surface.

A wider and longer centre console also allows the new car to accommodate a larger variety of passenger physiques and comfort preferences. Both driver and front passenger will also get to enjoy the new high-resolution multimedia touchscreen, which conveniently provides access to vehicle settings, audio controls, as well as navigation.

Narrow A-pillars couple with a neat interior design to deliver an open and harmonious cabin
Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture platform, the new Corolla Altis promises newfound levels of handling performance. The car is fitted with a double wishbone suspension in the rear, allowing drivers to enjoy excellent agility and everyday comfort. Its high rigidity body structure also means greater handling stability. Drivers can also expect more visibility thanks to the car's narrow A-pillars.

Both the Standard and Elegance variants are powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that features Toyota's Dual Variable Valve Timing Intelligence technology, delivering 129bhp and a top speed of 190km/h. Meanwhile, the Hybrid variant utilises a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that is paired to an electric motor to deliver a total system output of 119bhp and an official fuel economy of 22.7km/L.

Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 Standard (A) $96,888
