Cat A COE - Premiums climb $800
Premiums for Cat A, for cars up to 1,600cc in engine capacity and with an output of no more than 130bhp, increased by $800 (2.2%) and ended at $37,334 this bidding round.
Premiums for the category now stand at 12.8% above the 12-month trailing average.
The number of unsuccessful bids this round exceeded the available quota by 44%, this figure has averaged 55% for Cat A in the last 12 months.
Cat B COE - Premiums climb another $300
Premiums for Cat B, for larger cars with more than 130bhp or engine displacements larger than 1,600cc, likewise saw only a slight upward bump this bidding round, rising by $300 (0.7%) to reach $40,990.
This climb sees the premium for this bidding round reaching into the 84th percentile of the 12-month trailing average, at 9.4% higher than the average for premiums of the last 12 months.

Cat C COE - Premiums continue their upward climb
Premiums for Cat C continued their upward climb despite already reaching all-year highs. This bidding round saw the premiums for commercial vehicles increase by a further $689 (2.1%) to end at $33,778.
Cat E COE - Premiums see a slight fall
In Cat E, the open category, premiums fell by $412 (1.0%), closing at $39,889.
The premium for this bidding round now stands at 4.7% above the 12-month trailing average and is at the 56th percentile of the premiums of the last 12 months.
