MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat jointly announced the availability of the new MINI Countryman, the biggest and most versatile member of the MINI model family.

The MINI Countryman retains its immediately recognisable design language, with subtle enhancements that emphasise its versatility. The new structure of the bumper covering, now entirely in body finish, ensures a particularly clear-cut and high-quality appearance. The redesigned radiator grille has the hexagonal contours that are typical of MINI and is surrounded by a slim, one-piece chrome frame. The radiator grille of the Cooper S Countryman is characterised by a hexagonal grid pattern with a red 'S' and a single chrome strut.

The Countryman now features a digital instrument display
The Countryman now comes with LED head lights as standard. At the rear, a redesigned bumper trim exudes a contemporary style. The upright rear lights with chrome frame provide an exclusive, unmistakable accentuation, and feature high-quality LED technology as standard, while the graphic structure of the light source traces the pattern of the Union Jack.

The range of body finishes opens up new possibilities for an individual look, including the newly added colours White Silver metallic and Sage Green metallic. Additionally, the Piano Black Exterior trim (standard on the Cooper S model) features high-gloss black finished head light surrounds, rear lights, radiator grille and side indicator elements, door handles and the model lettering on the luggage compartment lid.

The central instrument features an 8.8-inch colour display and touch-sensitive bookmark buttons
The interior of the updated Countryman features several notable changes. The digital instrument display (first seen on the MINI Electric) now comes as standard, and has a 5.0-inch screen on which a range of audio and navigation information can be displayed.

The Connected Navigation Plus, standard on both variants, includes an 8.8-inch colour display with touchscreen function. And, instead of the typical physical bookmark buttons, there are now touch-sensitive controls housed under a high-gloss Piano Black surface (a first for the MINI brand).

The 450-litre boot delivers plenty of hauling capability
The new MINI Countryman is equipped with a 4G LTE connectivity module that is permanently fitted in the car. This enables use of Intelligent Emergency Call with automatic detection of vehicle location and accident severity, as well as MINI TeleServices. Drivers also have access to a wide range of MINI Connected digital services.

The Cooper Countryman variant is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine producing 134bhp and 220Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission. The Cooper S Countryman packs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 176bhp and 280Nm of torque, paired to a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch sport transmission. The sport transmission allows rapid speed changes and increased shifting dynamics.

Car Model Price as of press time (inclusive of COE)
