Mission Motorsport, the charity motorsport organisation for wounded veterans of the British Armed Forces, has set the world record of hypermiling - the act of maximising a car's mileage - a standard Renault Zoe an astounding 760km. This was made possible thanks to unique range-extending tyres designed specifically for Electric Vehicles (EV).

Equipped with ENSO's pioneering range-extending EV tyres, Mission Motorsport deployed its considerable endurance racing experience to maximum effect. This allowed the team to achieve an impressive mileage of 14.6km per kilowatt hour.

Driving day and night for over 24 hours, at an average speed of 30km/h, the Renault Zoe equipped with ENSO's EV tyres surpassed the previous record by around 200km. An identical Renault Zoe equipped with standard OEM tyres and driven by the same team was only capable of completing 680km.

For accuracy's sake, the pair of identical vehicles were supplied in complete showroom specification. The previous hypermiling record of 560km was set in France in 2018, with a Renault Zoe driving around the Paris Peripherique ring road.
