Lamborghini has unveiled the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. The final edition model will be a celebration of the iconic V12 supercar and combustion engine, marking the end of Lamborghini Aventador production.

The Aventador LP 780-4 harnesses the performance of the SVJ and sophisticated elegance of the Aventador S, converging design and dynamism into a collector's piece available in both coupe and roadster forms.

The LP 780-4 Ultimae's elegant lines belie its latent ferocity. The 12-cylinder, 6.5-litre 'Longitudinale Posteriore' engine delivers 758bhp and 720Nm of torque via a permanent four-wheel drive system. It celebrates the visceral character and performance of the Aventador's 10-year evolution, including the technical advances gained from the Nurburgring Nordschleife record set by the Aventador SVJ in 2018.

The Aventador LP 780-4's carbon fibre monocoque and extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the body help it maintain a dry weight of just 1,550kg. The coupe version delivers the same power-to-weight ratio as the SVJ, making it capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 355km/h.

Outside, the supercar adopts a front bumper design generating an increased aero load on the front, with longitudinal performance similar to the SVJ. Delivering state of the art aerodynamic performance, the front splitter and open 'mouth' of the LP 780-4 directs additional airflow to increase aerodynamic efficiency, engine and radiator cooling. The Ultimae's lightweight rear bumper complets the dynamic exterior and celebrates the SVJ's track-oriented heritage.

Behind, the active aero system's rear wing moves into three positions - closed, 'maximum performance' and 'maximum handling', depending on speed and the drive mode selected, optimising the car's weight distribution.

A palette of options for the exterior and interior has been created for owners of the 350 coupes and 250 roadsters planned for production. The collection of tone-on-tone colours are elegant, while paying homage to the vehicle's original design cues taken from the world of aeronautics.

Inside, the cabin is just as refined - a laser cut 'Y' repeat motif on the seats and dashboard distinguishes the Ultimae model. The customisable TFT digital dashboard displays driver modes, as well as controlling in-car connectivity. A Lamborghini telemetry system is also available as an option for those wanting to celebrate the last Aventador on the racetrack.
