Toyota has unveiled the new Aqua supermini. To be available only as a hybrid, the new Toyota Aqua comes with a 100V/1,500W alternating current accessory power outlet, and a claimed fuel consumption of 35.8km/L.
A new high-output bipolar nickel-hydrogen battery will offer improved accelerator responsiveness, and smooth, linear acceleration from low speeds. The new battery also increases the speed range at which the all new Aqua can operate on electrical power alone.
Also new for the Toyota Aqua is a 'Power+' drive mode, which will apply regenerative braking when the driver lifts off the accelerator pedal.
The new Aqua will be powered by a highly efficient 1.5-litre Dynamic Force Engine.
The car will also come with the latest edition of Toyota Safety Sense, which expands the pre-collision safety functions to cover accidents that occur when turning left or right at intersections. Full Speed Range Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist have also been added to the suite of safety systems.
The all new Aqua is also equipped with Toyota Teammate Advanced Park and Parking Support Brake. Toyota's Teammate Advanced Park can control the steering wheel, brake, accelerator, and gear shifting operations, providing support for all parking operations
The latest version of Parking Support Brake is capable of detecting stationary objects on either side, and provides alerts and brake control to help avoid collisions, in addition to detecting stationary objects in front of and behind the vehicle.
In the interior, various functions have been placed together to create a simple, clean, and elegant-looking space.
The cabin of the Toyota Aqua features soft, synthetic leather-bound ornaments and armrests, and convenient and comfortable synthetic leather power seats. The all new Aqua will also feature a large, 10.5-inch audio display, delivering outstanding operability and visibility.
