BMW Singapore has launched the refreshed iX3 here in Singapore.
On the outside, this refreshed model sports a redesigned grille, now slightly larger than before and now with a BMW 'i' badge within.
The head lights of the iX3 are also now 10mm slimmer than before, done to visually link the car closer to upcoming all-electric models such as the BMW iX and BMW i4. These lights are Adaptive LED items equipped with a matrix function, although they can be had as BMW Laserlights as an option.
The refreshed car also now comes with the M Sport package now fitted as standard. This adds a larger lower air intake at the front, still equipped with the ten-stage active air flap. The air curtains that flank this intake at both ends are also now L-shaped and have blue accents.
The air breathers in the front side panels for this refresh also have an M-specific design, while the blue accent in the side skirts is omitted.
In the cabin, the new BMW iX3 gets BMW sport seats as standard for optimal support for the driver and front passenger through high-speed corners. These are trimmed in the Vernasca leather upholstery and available in a choice of Mokka, Oyster or Black with blue contrast stitching.
The now standard M Sport package includes both an Anthracite-coloured headliner and interior trim strips in the new Aluminium Rhombicle dark finish. There is also a choice of three optional interior trim strip variants. The blue Start/Stop button meanwhile, is now located in the centre console.
The refreshed BMW iX3 also comes in Singapore with a revised news app, wherein customers can choose categories in order to receive messages only on topics that interest them. The feed from the app can also be intelligently tailored as users like individual posts. Additionally, the content from the app is delivered by speakers as opposed to a text-to-speech computer for a more pleasant listening experience.
In Singapore, the new BMW iX3 comes as standard with the BMW i Wallbox Plus and a basic installation package. In addition, the new BMW iX3 is compatible with all Type 2 public charging stations that are widely available across the island.
BMW Charging, a mobility service of BMW i, will also give drivers access to one of the largest network of public charging stations located in various office buildings, shopping malls, hotels and industrial parks in Singapore all simply by using an RFID card that is already enabled for Shell and Greenlots chargers. Payment of the electric current used is made via the RFID card or the relevant smartphone app.
