Land Rover has revealed a new limited edition F-PACE SVR which pays tribute to the Le Mans winning XJR-9 LM which competed in 1988.
Called the Edition 1988, the car is the first limited edition of Jaguar's pinnacle high-performance SUV, and will be limited to just 394 examples worldwide, one for each lap completed by the winning Jaguar at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988.
The special edition car gets Champagne Gold Satin 22-inch forged alloy wheels along with Sunset Gold Satin badging
SV Bespoke has given the limited edition car a choice selection of touches to set it apart from a regular F-PACE SVR. These include the use of a specially-formulated Midnight Amethyst Gloss paintwork alongside Champagne Gold Satin 22-inch forged alloy wheels, plus a 'One of 394' SV Bespoke commissioning graphic.
The Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 also sports a unique Sunset Gold Satin Jaguar leaper and script on its tailgate, and there's also a laser-etched Edition 1988 logo applied to each front wing panel.
In addition to the F-PACE SVR Black Pack components fitted as standard on Edition 1988, the limited edition car also gets gloss black door mirror caps, brake calipers, wheel centre caps and the letter R on the SVR badging.
The car's dashboard, steering wheel spokes and gear shift paddles also all get the Sunset Gold Satin touch
In the cabin, the Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 gets open-pore carbon fibre finishers, as well as special edition exclusive semi-aniline Ebony leather upholstery and Sunset Gold Satin detailing across the dashboard steering wheel spokes, gear shift paddles and the heated-and-cooled front Performance Seats.
The Jaguar leaper and horn ring on the steering wheel here receive a Satin Black finish, while subtle SV Bespoke and Edition 1988 branding on the illuminated treadplates and dashboard, complete the package.
The Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 will be presented alongside the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 at Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations display at the 24 Hours of Le Mans come 8 June 2022, and will also make its dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed, happening from 23 June 2022.
