Tesla Singapore has begun deliveries of the Model Y here.
A total of 10 customers are said to have taken delivery of their new cars, with more still in the works. Tesla states that the start of deliveries marks a critical step in its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy in the city.
The Tesla Model Y Performance combines electric responsiveness with the ability to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds while offering a WLTP range of 514km per charge. Folding down the rear seats meanwhile, will net a claimed capacity of 2,100-litres.
Members of the public are also invited to experience the all-electric Model 3 and Model Y at Tesla's Millenia Walk and Toa Payoh Experience Centres.
Tesla states that it is committed to further develop its sales, after-sales service, and charging support here in Singapore to provide a convenient and seamless Tesla ownership experience. The brand has already opened nine Supercharging locations in Singapore offering a total of 24 Superchargers, with the latest located at Great World. A Model Y Performance, charging at a peak speed of 250kW from such a Supercharger, can recover up to 120km of charge in just five minutes.
