The biggest news is that the new Hummer H3 and H3T gets Flex Fuel capability, which means that the normally gas-guzzling SUV can be capable of running on biofuel such as ethanol as well as normal petrol.

While the new Hummer biofuel cars are not exactly the greenest, Hummer CEO James Taylor said, "This is just the first step in HUMMER’s evolution to offer responsible, yet highly capable all-terrain vehicles. Future models will be lighter, more efficient and will continue to offer the best blend of off-road capability and on-road performance."

The new H3 and H3T models will be powered by a 5.3-litre V8 engine that produces 300bhp and 434Nm of torque, and possesses the above-mentioned Flex Fuel technology. A Hydra-Matic electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission helps send the power to all four wheels.

As well as the new biofuel technology, the new Hummer H3 and H3T also offers three new body colours, Red Rock Metallic, Silver Stone Metallic, and Canyon Metallic. This is in addition to its extensive list of standard equipment, which includes full-time electronic four-wheel drive, Hill Start Assist, Stabilitrak electronic stability control system, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with traction control, roof-rail side curtain airbags and dual-stage frontal air bags with passenger sensing system, tire pressure monitoring system, and Bluetooth hands-free capability.
