MINI has reported that sales of the MINI Electric grew 25.5%, while total sales for the John Cooper Works cars grew by 8.9% last year.

MINI has revealed that both the MINI Electric and John Cooper Works band continued to see success in 2022.
The MINI Electric saw a total of 43,744 units sold worldwide. This sales figure is not only a 25.5% increase compared to 2021, but also means the zero local emissions vehicle is now the most popular model in the MINI lineup.
The John Cooper Works brandsaw a total of 23,005 models were sold worldwide, representing an increase of 8.9% compared to 2021
MINI states that the all-electric hatchback saw strong sales growth in nations including Germany, France and the U.K. The MINI Electric also recorded the largest share of total sales in Scandinavia, at 45%.
The rest of the MINI range also saw growth in markets including India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and New Zealand which all saw their highest sales figures to date.
Finally, the John Cooper Works brand also saw success in 2022. MINI states that a total of 23,005 JCW models were sold worldwide, representing an increase of 8.9% compared to 2021. The highest growth rates were recorded in the American market with 52%, while the performance-enhanced MINI models also achieved their highest sales figures to date in Germany, Japan and Korea.
