In the first round of bidding for February, Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for Cat A and B held mostly steady, while premiums for Cat E slipped.
The total number of bids submitted this session for both Cat A and Cat B was higher than the last bidding session, however, premiums for both categories continued to hold steady. The suggested higher demand from the increased number of bidders could have been countered by the increased quota for both categories this quarter.
Bidders could also have opted to bid for Cat B COEs instead of Cat E COEs this session, as a result of the announced tightening of supply for Cat E COE this quarter, possibly explaining the final premium for Cat E COEs this session.
