Wearnes is collaborating with Food from the Heart Singapore to bring food to the less fortunate in Singapore during its 20th anniversary food donation drive.

09 Feb 2023 | Local News : Singapore

Wearnes is collaborating with local charity Food from the Heart to deliver food to families that need assistance here in Singapore.

The muti-brand automotive retailer will be supporting the charity's 'Heart on Wheels' 20th anniversary food donation drive, which will see food being delivered to less-privileged individuals and families with a per capita income that typically falls below $690 per month.

Polestar Singapore has previously assisted Food from the Heart to collect food items in November 2022
Food from the Heart states that it provided up to 60,000 beneficiaries with food support throughout Singapore in 2022, a significant 34% increase since pre-COVID. But you can help Food from the Heart along on its mission to make sure no one has to go to sleep hungry here in Singapore.

Food from the Heart has a food wish list that includes items such as rice (in two and five kg bags), cooking oil (in one litre bottles), as well as instant noodles and canned food (with items such as sardines, tuna, curry chicken, soup). It is also looking for coffee, tea and Milo in sachets, as well as oat, cereal, biscuit and bread spreads*.

You can either deliver these items yourself on 4 and 5 March 2023, to Wearnes at 45 Leng Kee, Singapore (159103). All that head down will get a complimentary tyre shine from Wearnes, and the first 100 cars to head down each day will receive a complimentary treat sponsored by McDonald's Singapore!

Those that don't have time to head down can also order food items on the wish list via their preferred online grocer and arrange for delivery directly to the event on 4 and 5 March, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Volunteers will be there to receive, sort and record the food items donated.

Finally, Food from the Heart is also accepting cash donations, which you can contribute to via the Giving.sg campaign page here. Your donations will be matched dollar-to-dollar by the Tote Board, and all cash donations to an IPC charity approved by the Commissioner of Charities, Food from the Heart included, are eligible for 250% tax deduction. *Items should be at least three months away from expiry
