Frequently utilise the Circle Line late at night? You'll need to factor in some additional time for your commute back home.
The LTA has announced that the period from 11 June to 20 July 2023 will see a total of seven stations including Dhoby Ghaut, Bras Basah, Esplanade, Promenade, Nicoll Highway, Marina Bay and Bayfront operating only one platform from 9:00pm.
Shuttle train services will run between Dhoby Ghaut and Promenade station, as well as between Marina Bay and Stadium station during the affected timings
The change is being done to facilitate additional maintenance works between Promenade and Nicoll Highway stations along the Circle Line, and will happen daily, except for the days 16 to 18 June, 24 June, 28 to 29 June, 1 to 2 July, 7 to 8 July, and 14 to 16 July.
The additional works are required as segments of the tunnel have been found to be subject to greater pressure, although the LTA states that this poses no safety risks to the operation of the MRT line.
Commuters are advised that travel times may be extended by as much as 30 minutes, and to take other rail lines or bus services if possible. Station staff will be deployed at the affected stations to render help to those in need.
