As the year comes to a close, we look ahead to 2016 at some of the exciting new car models set to hit our shores next year. 

In a year where the SUV (especially the compact SUV and Crossovers) really seemed to have made its mark in the automotive world as well as on the roads, it is perhaps no surprise that more manufacturers are releasing new models to compete in these growing segments. 

Here's a sneak peek of the star-studded lineup of 2016.

Alfa Romeo

Giulia QV

Arriving: Q3 2016

Having made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Giulia QV saloon is set to make its way to our shores in 2016. Packing a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 putting out 490bhp or 500bhp, it is set to take the fight to its German rivals.

Aston Martin


Arriving: Q4 2016

While exact details are scant, Aston Martin's DB11, the successor to the DB9, will be available in 2016. Under the bonnet is expected to be a development of the existing Aston Martin V12, possibly with turbocharging for added power and efficiency.



Arriving: Q3 2016

A high-revving V10 engine with superior performance, a consistently lightweight construction concept and an extremely dynamic chassis with quattro drive system and fully variable torque control is what makes the new R8 the sporty spearhead of Audi.



Arriving: Q2 2016

The first production SUV from Bentley, the Bentayga is the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine packing 600bhp and 900Nm of torque, 0-100km/h takes just four seconds, with the SUV hitting a top speed of 301km/h. The Bentayga also features trademark Bentley luxury and comfort in the interior.

BMW M Series

M2 Coupe

Arriving: Q2 2016

The newest member to the M Series family, the M2 Coupe sees the coveted M badge find its way onto the popular 2 Series. The M2 produces 365bhp and 465Nm of torque, powered by a newly developed 3.0-litre six-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo engine. Combined with its rear-wheel-drive agility, lightweight aluminium M Sport suspension and extrovert styling, the M2 Coupe has all the ingredients to deliver the last word in driving pleasure.


Arriving: Q4 2016

The BMW M4 is a new and exclusive technological showpiece which elevates the potential of the BMW M4 Coupe to another impressive new level with its powerful, motor sport-inspired looks and high-performance technology. At its heart is the multi-award-winning six-cylinder in-line turbo engine with an innovative water injection system. The sharpest M4 of all, the M4 GTS is a special edition limited to just 700 units.



Arriving: Q2 2016

The new Chevrolet Cruze is a larger and lighter, more efficient and more sophisticated evolution of the brand's best-selling global car. The sedan features a new 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, while the stationwagon features 1.6-litre engine. A leaner architecture reduces weight by up to 113kg whilst enhancing agility, efficiency and safety. The new Cruze is also packed with new technologies and active safety features.


488 Spider

Arriving: Q2 2016

The 488 Spider is Ferrari's most powerful mid-rear-engined V8 car ever to feature the patented retractable hard-top. Beneath the engine cover throbs the 3,902cc turbocharged V8 from the 488 GTB. With a spaceframe chassis made of 11 different aluminium alloys, the Spider has the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness figures as the coupe.


Arriving: Q1 2016

The Ferrari F12tdf pays homage to the Tour de France, the legendary endurance road race that Ferrari dominated in the 1950s and 60s. The limited edition car, limited to just 799 examples, is the ultimate expression of the concept of an extreme road car that is equally at home on the track.



Arriving: Q4 2016

The 10th generation Civic features extensively redesigned and newly developed components. In a bid to realise a dynamic rejuvenation of the Civic, the new car has an all new vehicle architecture, new interior and exterior styling, a bigger and more spacious cabin, a host of new premium features and technologies, as well as two advanced new engines.


Arriving: Q2 2016

The Jade is Honda's latest compact MPV offering, based on the popular Stream platform. Featuring a 1.5-litre direct-injection engine, the Jade also comes with Honda's Sensing suite of active safety systems.


Arriving: Q1 2016

The Legend is Honda's most powerful and technologically advanced sedan yet and the first to apply the company's ground breaking new three-motor Sport Hybrid system, delivering a combination of unprecedented driving pleasure, a refined and comfortable ride and outstanding environmental performance.



Arriving: Q4 2016

Featuring Infiniti's iconic design language, the all new Q30 is developed for customers seeking urban individuality. Dynamic drive characteristics provide for Infiniti-typical confident and responsive performance, while crafted trims and expressive interiors extend the striking design approach from the exterior into the passenger cabin.


Arriving: Q1 2016

The Infiniti QX80 offers a fresh new exterior design and a more crafted interior, plus additional standard features and technology. Offering a unique combination of inspired design and performance, the 5.6-litre V8 engine offers 400bhp, with power, strength and luxury to transport up to eight adults and their belongings with spacious elegance.



Arriving: Q2 2016

The first ever performance crossover from Jaguar features technology designed to ensure it is the most rewarding driver's car of its kind. The F-PACE uses chassis dynamics technology adapted from the acclaimed F-TYPE sports car, offered with a sophisticated all-wheel drive system which delivers torque-on-demand.


Arriving: Q1 2016

Jaguar's refreshed all-aluminium luxury saloon - the XJ - is more desirable than ever. Subtle changes to the exterior design add to the XJ's distinctive looks, accentuated by full LED head lights. Featuring a new infotainment system and high-quality interior materials and finishes, which create an even more bespoke feel, the XJ looks to reward drivers and passengers like no other luxury car.


Huracan LP580-2

Arriving: Q1 2016

Specifically designed and engineered for its rear-wheel drive setup, the Huracan LP 580-2's combines dynamic new looks with a package for an enhanced Lamborghini driving emotion. Engineered for driving fun, the Adaptive Network Intelligent Management system is recalibrated to suit the spirit of the rear-wheel drive model, offering more tail-happy handling.


Huracan LP610-4 Spyder

Arriving: Q2 2016

The Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder, the open-top version of the Huracan, combines the power and performance of the coupe with the emotion of open-air driving.  A hybrid aluminium and carbon fibre chassis means that the Spyder maintains a high-level of torsional stiffness to ensure the handling precision of a race car.
