If you have been waiting for an Audi MPV, you may be delighted with this piece of news. Audi's sales and marketing boss, Peter Schwarzenbauer has confirmed that the company will build an MPV. Speaking with Autocar, Schwarzenbauer revealed the model will be offered as either a six or seven-seater.He declined to go into details, but reports suggest that the model will be introduced in 2016 and ride on an enlarged version of the MQB platform.
A variety of engines are expected including a 1.8-litre TFSI with 180bhp and a 2.0-litre TFSI with 222bhp. On the diesel side, there could be a 2.0-litre TDI with outputs of 141bhp and 175bhp. We may also see a hybrid variant that features a 148bhp 1.4-litre TFSI engine and a 107bhp electric motor.
