As part of their expansion, its new "battery lab" workshop was launched in 2024 with a focus on battery maintenance and battery balancing. This service is geared towards EVs and plug-in hybrids from brands such as Toyota and Hyundai. Jason, head of the EV workshop, also notes that they are more equipped to handle parallel imported EVs from European car brands.

So, what brought the birth of this battery-focused workshop into fruition? Esteem Performances stresses that it came about as customers may not be too clear of the condition of their newly purchased vehicle. For example, customers who purchase a second-hand EV might be able to tell if its motor is in working condition, but the battery itself is a whole different ball game. The EV workshop is still very much in its infancy stage: For now, Esteem Performance offers recharging and maintaining of the battery.
