The Ministry of Transport has mentioned that motorcyclists will no longer have to pay tolls when travelling on the Second Link from 21 January.
Starting from next year, Singapore will match Malaysia's decision to abolish tolls on motorcyclists at the Tuas Second Link.
Motorists passing through the Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints will get ample warning to pay the tolls, thanks to a new system that will be implemented next year.
Higher tolls starting on 1st October may drive vehicles away from the Causeway in Woodlands towards the Second Link in Tuas instead.
From 1 August 2010, motorists will enjoy lower toll charges when they drive into or depart from Singapore using the Second Link
