Toyota has entered secured an agreement with LG Energy Solution that will see it being supplied with high-nickel NCMA battery modules from 2025.
Both firms have signed a new joint venture to establish a new battery cell plant for electric vehicles that will be built in Georgia, U.S.A.
When fully operational, the site is expected to produce enough lithium-ion battery cells every year for more than 150,000 battery electric vehicles.
