Bicycle-sharing firm Anywheel has received approval from the LTA to expand its bicycle fleet from 10,000 to 15,000 from July onwards.
The majority of the bikes belonged to ofo, whose licence was cancelled in April 2019 after it missed deadlines to comply with regulations.
The Land Transport Authority said it received licensing fees from six firms which will together operate 40,500 shared bikes.
