Mazda not only captured the overall pole position with the Mazda RT24-P, but broke the 26-year old course record while qualifying at Daytona.
Both the heavily-revised #55 and #77 Mazda RT24-P race cars showed speed but retired before the finish of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
