MINI has successfully defended its Dakar Rally title a second time after the X-raid MINI JCW Team took first place after 12 stages of gruelling desert racing.
Carlos Sainz and co-driver Lucas Cruz have won the Rally Dakar for the third time, presenting MINI with its fifth overall victory at the iconic rally.
When the Rally Dakar visits the Arabian Peninsula for the first time, it will feature two Dakar legends in the MINI JCW Buggy and nine MINI race cars.
Seven MINI crews will contest Dakar 2018 to compete against nature, time and fellow Dakar four-wheel competitors throughout 9,000km of harsh terrain.
