Local carpooling app Ryde has started a new service to help parents carpool their children to school, to rival an existing service by another firm.
The taxi industry has come under stiff competition from apps Uber and Grab, which already offer users the opportunity to share their private-hire car rides.
Ryde, a local carpool app which was launched in April, has found favour with investors, raising $1.5 million in its seed-round funding that ended last week.
