The Land Transport Authority intends to impose a financial penalty of $5.4 million on SMRT Corporation for the system-wide disruption on 7th July this year.
The Land Transport Authority has fined train operators SMRT and SBS Transit $1.6 million and $500,000 respectively for disruptions.
Rail operators, SMRT and SBS Transit, will be slapped with heftier fines in future when their train service faces a large scale disruption.
