Sure, you don't have a trillion horsepower trying to escape from a magnesium-alloy V18 engine. And, you surely won't have curvaceous bodywork that'll make Angelina Jolie jealous.
But, a lively 4-banger in a car that's the size of a shoe™can be just as much fun on a twisty mountain road. One of the best ways to find such a cheap-thrill, is behind the wheel of a Suzuki Swift. And for 2011, you'll get even more bang-for-the buck.
The 2011 Swift is 4 inches longer, and it gets a 2-inch stretch in the wheelbase. On the outside, the bodywork looks like a more modern interpretation of the old design. But, you do get headlights that are roughly the same size and shape as a killer whale's fin.
Inside, the 2011 Suzuki Swift gets a much nicer interior. Thanks to styling cues from the Kizashi.
The big news however, is under the bonnet. The old 1.3-litre powerplant has been replaced by a 1.2-litre unit. With the addition of variable valve technology, this new engine pumps out 92 hp, and 89 ft/lb of torque.
If that isn't enough power for you, stay tuned. A 1.6 litre Swift Sport is in the works.
