13 people were injured after an accident between a bus and a taxi along Upper Serangoon Road on Monday night, reported The Straits Times.
Police said they received a call at about 7:30pm informing them of the accident along Upper Serangoon Road. The thirteen people were believed to have been taken to Changi General Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The Straits Times understands that at least one of them had a neck brace on and was on a stretcher, and that the taxi driver had been taken to hospital.
When The Straits Times arrived at the scene, the area around the bus had been cordoned off, the front of the bus was badly dented and its wind shield was cracked. The back of the taxi was badly damaged and its window was shattered. It appeared that the SBS Transit bus had hit the back of a Comfort Delgro taxi.
The SCDF said it had dispatched a fire engine and four ambulances to the scene at 10:33pm, Upper Serangoon Road. No one was trapped in the accident, added the spokesman.
